See signature for history of mustangs.

The 5.0 with a few bolt ons can run N/A, and go just as fast as bolt on 04 cobra.

My stock 04 cobra ran 12.9 @ 110 mph. Pulley, cold air, throttle body, plenum, tune, x-pipe, mufflers, and street tires ran 11.7 @ 118 mph.

New 5.0's are doing this similar mods expect a pulley (lol) and a super charger.

The only advantage I really see is how cheap an 04 cobra is to add a whipple compared to adding a whipple to new 5.0.

Financing is good right now too for new 5.0's.

If this car is going to be your daily driver, it is no contest. GO with the 5.0 and dont look back. I was in your same situation and while the 03/04 Cobras are awesome cars they make a much better weekend warrior than a comfortable DD.

I got my '12 GT new with premium and a few other packages for 28k out the door because of all the offered incentives. That is only a little more than a clean 03/04 Cobra goes for but the 5.0 is 10 years newer. It's a no brainer!

I agree. As a DD or even a race car..... Really no contest, new 5.0 all the way. NA 5.0s are going 10s with light mods and still getting better mpg than a stock 03/04 cobra.

I'd check with Ford as well. I got my loan from Ford for 0.0% for 60 months on my 2012 GT.

Those are gone for the 2013 as of right now. Best rate from ford is like 2.9% for 36month.

get a gently used "new" one all day. 03-04 are very cool cars but way less refined. I got an 11 5.0 premium brembos 3.73 etc 16K on the odo for 23. Most i saw in this condition were 25-26+. As for APR if you guys are paying in the 5-7% range you must have the credit of a high school kid. I got like 2.99% for like 75 months!! I only did that to get a payment in the low 200's in a couple months I will refi for about 2.5% If you dont mind the higher payment you can get down in the low 2's or even 1's but you MUST HAVE GOOD CREDIT. I think the 14K or so less on a used car will far out weight the 0% APR just my thoughts

Unless you just have to have a Terminator, they are way overpriced at this point in time IMO.

Buy a new to slightly used 11+ 5.0 for less or equal pay and better financing
