If you will stop hitting the rev limiter in every gear your et and mph will improve ;-)

Thanks Kwik for posting this.

1.8T I don't hit the rev limiter in any gear except third and that is because I go thru the traps at the top of third gear so I make sure to wind it out so I don't lose any ET at the very end.

SVTullio has it right, I powershift the 1-2 shift which is probably why you think I was hitting the limiter.

My best that day was 11.52 @ 122.3, 1.79 60'
I also ran 11.55 @ 122.6, 1.81 60'
and 11.56 @ 122.3, 1.81 60'

My best mph ever is 123.9 and that was with a 20+ mph tailwind...our track is 1200' elevation and 90 degrees plus so we never get the big mph that you guys get in the east and south.

Kwik also has a no music version that he might be able to post for those of you requesting it. I think the music version sounds pretty good!

I never understood why people add music to a racing vid they post up for other gearheads to watch??? The sound of the exhaust is the only music we want to hear...

ive seen them go high 10s stock. search rangers c6 z06 on youtube. the z06 only runs about a tenth slower than a stock zr1.

There has only been 1 single 10 sec pass in a C6Z, bone stock with stock tires. However, there are 7 other C6Z's that have made it into the 10's with just drag radials....as well as negative DA and perfect track prep.

Speaking of Ranger's times, he's said he doesn't powershift because it's actually counter-productive. He's actually slowed the shifts down a tad because the stock clutch slips just a bit even at stock power levels, if you ever listen to his shifts he's gotten that shit down to a science after running it 100+ times stock.
