Local guy who is pretty hush-hush about his mods. All he says is that it's a "bolt on only" '12 GT500.

Here he ran low-mid 10's on these runs (5500-6000ft. DA here, about a .50-.75 seconds slower here)

Car runs @ 2:00, 4:42, 8:26, and 8:49

Says it's a bolt-on car but won't reveal mods? He's one of those 'lolz, blowers are put on with bolts. It's a bolt on car.' attention whores.

El Paso has that high of a DA ?

Around there. It jumps between 5-5500 during the winter to 6k+ during the scorching summers.

From the owner: "Nothing but bolt ons! Exhaust, shifter , pulley, tune, suspension. Sums up that whole car"

Is that even possible?

I'm not too familiar with 2012 aftermarket numbers, would that be around 550rwhp or so? That would take an absolute shitload of weight reduction to run low-mid 9s, especially without an auto.

Yea I'm sure it has a 13/14 tvs with a small pulley, takes over 700 wheel to run 9s in these heavy pigs... Or he has a 2.4 upper and a 15% lower headers, he'll of a tune, e85 maybe etc and the best drag susp ever to yank those times..

I can see a 2011+ 5.0 running low to mid 9s with a tune and drag radials but not a bolt on GT500.

You can "bolt on" weight reduction, a bigger blower, fuel system mods for E85 and big/littles.

I don't see why not?

I have no problem calling a car "bolt on only" as long as the engine has not been out of the car, stock pistons and cams and transmission are still in it.
Bigger blower, safe fuel system, and even gears are all "bolt on"
