hey so cal guys, I was wondering about some details of this track? I am considering coming out with my car again but wondered about elevation and approx temps for that part of California. If it's like Phoenix I will not bother. Any insight would be great.

It's in a semi high level desert, 2400' I believe, and it's hot during the summer. Also the wind tends to blow from the finish to the start so you run into a headwind. Sand sometimes finds it's way onto the track too. Sounds like fun.:-D

But, track prep should be decent. You should definately hook better than at Carlsbad. Especially, if you got your new rims with your slicks mounted.

Hum, i'll talk to George about it as well. He had a pretty good run last time out. Best so far & im sure with his new mods he will be itching to go.

my new mods!!
To bad I blow out the stock tires at the top of first and second. Contemplating on picking up a set of nittos, maybe someone has a pair of 17x10.5 tires they want to sell for the drag radials :)

And you better believe I'm wanting to go to lacr asap to see if I can blast through the 12 sec barrier. Im sure 60 more hp and even more torque will take me from 13.44 to the 12's

Sorry i keep forgetting that :nonono:

No we didnt hit those numbers at all.
8:16pm & its 85F right now. LACR is about 5 or a bit more hotter.

Just 1 1/2 hours ago it was still 95F out side.
Well it shows as 94F High in San Fernando for next Saturday.
Im about 50miles away & 700F or so above elevation

Im sure by 6pm it should cool down a bit.

Man it would cool to see Elevens with ur car.
1 guy is doing it with Nitrous.

OK, I'll be there. I'll see if I can get 1 or 2 of the GN's to make the trip with me.

Got any fairly decent hotel recommendations? (close to the track) Bringing the wife and kids, need something nice w/ a pool etc. One other question, how far is this from Six Flags Magic Mountain??????

Thanks for your help.

Tetge, step in with the accomodations info please.

He's a local.

Six Flags is about 30-45 min from the track. But, you'll probably be staying somewhere in between, so you'll be closer.

Pearblossum HWY is the exit from the 15fwy.
On Exit just hang a right & just go straight....
On the 138 make another right turn & about 1 mile or so its the track on the right side.

Let me know of any itinerary you guys have for the weekend.

I'm a speed freak, and I have a boss into cars so I can always duck out early for the track. Im sure the track is much sticker than the street. Danny gave me one flat ass torque curve and the car blows out the tires at the top of first at anything over 3/4 throttle and about 50% of the time in 2nd. Poor stock f1 tires are getting chewed up. Also danny removed the traction control for me, no more embarassing 2.5's when I forget to Push the button.
