We have had a long standing tradition around this place to make sure NO thread ever stays COMPLETELY on topic. :fart:

Surely we didn't want this thread to be the first one ever!?!? ;-) :p

(Don't take it personally. That's just how we are around here!)

To me it also appears that the door panels are thinner on the 93 and thicker on the 95 and 00. The thicker door panels seem to give that "closed in" feel that the 93 does not.

In 94 there was additional crash protection required in the doors. That is why the doors are thicker than 93 and earlier. This may also be what you are "feeling".

I call it multi-tasking. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Remember, a 2000 R with higher miles is actually low miles in comparision to cars or similar years. There are no 2000R's that I know of with the average of 12K-15K miles per year, or now at this 5 year point, 60K-up miles. Even a 12K mile 2000R, which might be higher miles in comparision to "most" 2000R's is in reality low miles. You can buy a nice 2000R for the mid $30K's.

I just bought a '00R this weekend.
Congrats! Do you have any pics yet? What are the details on the car (mods, mileage)? You really do need a 95R to complete the collection although Robert would insist you also add a 2-top and Mystic to fully round it out. I'd insist that you should add a Ford GT (in red to match the 93/00).

If you don't add a GT500 to that stable I'm going to be seriously disappointed!?! :poke:

 :coolman:

It will have to be more limited than 8000-10,000+ for me. Maybe a Ford Racing R-Model (street legal of course), or an SVT offering in the new body, R-related? GT350R?, GT500R, something like that, now your talking!!

It will need to weigh less than the much talked about 3900+lbs to get me interested.

I like the idea of a 3300lb (or less :)) '07 Mustang GT350.

The 93R was ~3125lbs. and, the 95R was ~3326lbs. Both of those cars had iron blocks and heads. I wonder what a new Mustang would weigh with the Ford GT's aluminum block (sans blower) and a few weight saving options (such as deletion of the rear seat, power windows, and other nonessential items)? I'd be first in line for one of these (at $50K or less).
