I painted a 95 GT that was originaly dark green to purple and white, and it was a job. we taped off the door openings and removed doors to do the jambs, pulled motor and trans and taped off brake booster and steering arm/linkage, pulled headlights and tails. The biggest job was motor and trans, we had to degrease everything and make sure it was primed right so paint would adhere. get a set of cheapo paint booth rms so you don;t get overspray on your goood ones, I covered mine and they still seemed to get some on them.

Ever consider Bright Atlantic Blue or Dark Highland Green?

There is another thread from a couple of days ago where someone repainted their Mustang. Everything except the engine bay (just like yours). With photos. It should help you. I can't find the thread, though. Try a search.
