Debate time !

Im about to put a vortec kit on the car and ive been debating a choice in reguards to the tranny . . Either A. Built 5 speed with 4.10s in the back or B. Built 6 speed with the 4.10s . . Im not big on either tranny hence why i havent made a decision . . i like the 6 speed but it just seems like a lotta extra bullshit and not enough of a gain over a built 5 speed.

T-56 Viper Spec... anything else and its not even worth it

If you don't do any long driving I'd stick with the five speed with either a built T45 or TKO.

Stick with a built T-45. TKOs don't shift well as high rpms and T-56 is just too damn expensive and the first gear ratio sucks balls. BTW, don't you have 4.30s now?

can you explain the pros of a heavier more expensive with a .8 over drive advantage ( I think didn’t look it up) I mean it is cool to say you have a 6 speed.

t56 from a cobra. i got mine for 1k and it has 3k miles on it. putting a 26 spline input shaft on it and it's ready to rock

i had tko's before. they blow when shifting at high rpm's. through 3 of em. one didn't have that issue. guess it was an odd one.

Built 5 speed.. if you have the power, you don't need the closer ratios of a 6 speed.. it'll just slow you down..
