If it's true that's the HP now I want to know what they did to get there. So many different routes you can go.

Dodge kept saying air, air and more air. It's got a true ram air induction and there are 2 open headlights now. One in the driver's side, as the Hellcat's havve, but also on the passenger's side as well.
I'm sure there are other things as well.
But, I do recall the Dodge engineers saying years ago that the original Hellcat engine puts out 825 HP. Pretty damn nasty. I have the actual video actually where it is stated.

I'll believe that if its whp. I think it take a bit more than 815bhp to run bottom 10's. Then again this car is lighter, has better tq multiplication, and better suspension. Who knows, it may 60 its ass off. Or they may just underrate it as well.

Why do you think it'll take more than 815bhp to run bottom 10's (assuming The Demon's 815 is like the hellcat's 707...under-rated)?

Current hellcat challengers with nothing more than slicks have gone 10.7ish. Add another 100hp and the 3.09 rear along with the R tires and it should easily be in the bottom 10's.

They are in the bottom 10's with tires, a driveshaft, 3.09s, & tune. Have a few of them that did it.

One ran a 10.483 with just drag radials & MS109 gas.

Proof?

I know the few that have gone 9.9's are 800+ whp. Which is definitely pullied.

So 750+ to run low 10's. 800+ to get you in the 9's.

The only way the demon will lay down 750+ is if its seriously underrated at 815bhp. Guess we'll see.

Surrounded by libetards.
I want whatever this thing turns out to be SO badly. Dodge's marketing department and product development department deserve medals. I can't wait to see this thing when it moves to the lighter platform. Dodge REALLY seems to get what the buyer wants from a rwd American performance coupe/sedan/or SUV. Now all they need is a pissed off SRT truck and they'll have it all. I wish I could have a HC charger, challenger, and trailhawk and I've been a Ford guy my entire life. Hats off to the MOPAR boys/gals.

Only tires & MS109

Also, just a e85 tune on Hellcats yields 750rwhp..no pulley needed.

Couple an E85 tune with tires, a drive shaft, & 3.09s & you can get close to 9s.

Gotta take dyno numbers with a grain of salt, remember - you can make a dyno read anything you want it to. Its a tuning tool, not the end all / be all for how a car performs.

What matters is how fast the car is at the track, with variables taken out. A quarter mile is a quarter mile (with DA adjusted, etc)

And I'm not sure if I buy that 10.4 on just racegas and a tire.

One theory from the jalopnik article.

My guess is 13.5 psi gives 575 kW at 500 wheel RPM in 1st gear.

That’s 770 hp, and 500 wheel RPM is 6170 engine RPM in 1st gear on a hellcat. 4.71 1st gear in the 8 speed, 2.62 axle ratio.

Newton's 3rd law... For every action, there is an equal opposite reaction.

  • 35 percent lower rate front springs/28 percent lower rate rear springs
  • 75 percent lower rate hollow front sway bar/44 percent lower rate rear sway bar
  • Drag-tuned Bilstein Adaptive Damping Shocks
