I have had both the nittos and the BFG's and like everyone has said BFG's are great at the track, but as a daily drive the wear super fast! And driving in the rain is out of the question. I would have to vote nittos on practicality.

I have heard great things about the new Mickey Thompson Drag Radials. i am going to try them next.

I had Nittos and BFGs. The Nittos are best if you want to leave them on for street driving. The BFGs are far superior at the track, but dont last as long. You can tell by touching them that the BFGs are a softer compound than the Nittos.

So could i buy 2 seperate rims for the rear that are 9" wide, same as stock from afs and then put 315BFG dr's on them and swap them on and off before runs at the track?
And then for my other 4 tires just go with nittos 315 all the way around?

I don't think you want to be running 315's up front. :nono:

At the track everyone I talked to with the MT Drag Radials loved them and said they were even better than the BFGs. None of them had the MTs on an 03-04 cobra though.. So i think the order would be

1st MTs although I havent tried them yet myself

2nd BFGs which are way better than the Nittos at the track

3. NIttos last a long time, but why bother pputting drag radials on your car for the street...unless you are going to do some serious street racing.. You really have to do a burnout to get them to stick any better than street tires. I would go with the BFG G Forces I have on my car and some QA1 shocks. I wouldnt even bother with drag radials if I wasnt going to the strip.

From my experience in the bay area, most places dont carry them, but can get them in a few days. www.tirerack.com carries them from time to time also. Expect to pay ~$170-200 depending on where you get them.

Good Luck!

You're gonna love them man. I put them on my Cobra the other day and can't say enough about them. I get no wheelspin whatsoever in first. The car handles as well as it does with the f1's.. They're just great.
