Is that what it is?

Yes! There is a lot of play in the rubber bushings on the IRS - this can result in clunking over time. Changing out those bushings will stiffen up the setup a lot and reduce the clunking a great deal.

Overall congrats! You have to feel great having that IRS on a 98. It really looks good.

your car is lookin sweet! i know just how it rides too... i've got an 03 IRS in mine.. it rides smooth and doesn't hop too bad...

new bushings and irs brace will fix that..

Nice car & dope color. BAB is a good one. The IRS is one of the best things you could ever do to you car. Replace the bushings & many problems back there will go away... ! :beer:
