No the cover does go back on, like you said left off during install.

I guess that's personal taste because honestly I hate the way JPC's intake is setup (not taking anything away from their kit)....this looks cleaner imo. Will see but I'm looking for 160+ traps at full weight once we get her fully dialed in.

I was suppose to pick up the car today but that didn't happen. Issues with a jacked up alternator pulley resulted me going home empty handed....I do have some more pics.
