Well I finally got my cobra!!! I had a 2001 v6 mustang I was doing a project with and was supposed to do a cobra swap but didnt have the time for it so I sold it. I went out and finally bought a real 2001 cobra. Car is in pretty good shape, just needs some tlc. Paint is overall pretty good but as usual that red has the typical fading from being out in the sun. At some point will have it repainted once I get all the body parts I want. Has a diablo chip and flowmasters. Car has a ton of potential and I only paid $7500 for it and it only has 100k on it!!! Next is to swap in my solid axle, put magnaflows on and throw on my eibach springs. Here she is!!! So excited!!

Thanks man, I wish i could have finished the project but with having a little one it just became to much, I had bought a 01 cobra that had been wrecked as a donor car, there is just so much that needed to go into that swap.

Me thinks you need a new rear tire. Try a Porter Cable/Rupes/Flex and some quality compound/finishing glaze, you may not need new paint after you do that. Congrats on the purchase!

I just have never been a fan of the IRS. I know they are great rear ends but for what I want out of the car I feel like the solid would be better. I have big plans for biggg power in this car and I feel like the solid axel would handle it a lot better for hard launches. And thanks for the advice on the paint man ill see what I can do with it, as far as the tire goes it has a leak haha, but at some point im getting new rims and tires.

Do a Full Tilt Boogie IRS upgrade, along with a Steeda IRS brace, and you won't have a lick of issues out of the IRS itself.

I took the wing off, I plan on upgrading to the 03-04 front bumper, and I have a brand new 95 style cobra r hood already from cervini

Looks nice! Plenty of 03-04 cobra owners making big hp with the irs still in place.

Nice car just needs some TLC. But swapping the 99/01 front for a 03/04 kills me...most over used bumper on the planet on the 99-04's...
