This place almost never disappoints. You guys will bitch about what brand of toothpaste to use. If I remember, this thread started about a new 15 GT getting wrecked.

I said this before and ill say it again, i really think ford held back on this car, just so they can slight GM with their gen 6 camaro.

Maybe, but then if they do, you guys will just go "Ford shouldve done this in 2015!"

Personally I think they shouldve waited until 2015 to debut the Coyote, because then everyone would be praising Ford and going "holy **** 430hp Mustang finally!". They shouldve just done better cams/timing/tune in the 3v's to get around 350ish and kept them cheap to boost sales.

There is still room on the table when the coyote goes direct injection alone.

I know huh. Back in 86 I worked at A Ford dealer and a kid came in and bought a new 1986 GT. Two hours later he wrecked it with 98 miles on it.... I still have the complete brand new interior out of it rapped in plastic in my basement.

Off topic, but that story sounds familiar. I heard a story about a kid my uncle knew who had several Mustangs. He kept wrecking them or having them long enough to get repo'd. What part of Virginia?

Oh no. I see a war brewing in the depths of SVTP...

Terminator drivers vs 5.0 drivers

5.0 drivers vs. S550 drivers

Who will be the first to buddy up to take the 2 on 1 advantage? Stay tuned.

Have any of the S550 haters actually seen one in person? The car looks pretty fantastic, IMO. Much better than the New Edge update and the '05-'09 cars.

They are all over my area, my neighbor has had a GT test mule sitting in his driveway for the past year. The front end is uglier in person...just can't get past it, shares too many styling cue's with the fusion. The rest I like, interior is fantastic.

I love how everyone was praising the Fusion for looking like an Aston Martin, and Ford was blowing up in the press with how well they'd done with it. Then the 2015 comes out and everyone's major complaint is that is looks similar in ways to the Fusion that just got done winning critical acclaim and awards.

BTW the Foxbody that so many people love so much looks as much like an Escort GT as the new S550 looks like a Fusion and that never seemed to bother anyone.

Wrong on all accounts, no one has said the fusion looks bad, just that this mustang looks too much like it.

There are plenty of people who never liked fox bodies, im one of them, the best one ive seen is the wide bodied and lowered it was black.

Finally, the 05-09 mustangs trade blows with the sn95 in terms of ugliness, check the best looking modern mustang thread.

Almost thought I was on a camaro forum. I think with every change this goes on. It'll grow on everyone and be the best thing ever in a year or maybe less, maybe more.

Ford should just quit production. If I was Mark Fields(and ready to retirelol) and got on some of these forums and read all the senseless bs it would go like this "You guys don't like our product? Ok we'll quit making them."

Friend sales fords, and gave me the call he always does when they get the stang in "dudeeee lets goo" But it's been raining the past two days. This dealership is not SVT, yet one in a small town of like 2k is, is being an SVT dealer their option?

This is what I was hoping for with the '15. I think ford debuted the coyote at the right time. I also think Ford is playing the same game they have for years: change the chassis/body and make a lot of sales from the hype. Once the hype dies down, facelift said body and bring back the sales. Once that dies down, bring out the driveline changes. I have a feeling the early adopters of this car will wish they had waited a few years.

I'm a huge terminator fan (used to have one), a fox body fan (had one of these too), a 11-14 s197 fan (current daily driver) and a s550 fan. Thomas' mind==blown.

A lot of you guys are wanting di on the coyote will regret the dam thing. It will probably be good for n/a power but once you start to add boost or nitrous you will more than likely hate it.

I never said people hated the Fusion. In fact I said the opposite. People loved the fusion, so Ford used some of that in the new Mustang and now it's suddenly a problem. I just don't understand the "the Fusion looks great, but the Mustang sucks because it looks too much like that Fusion that looks great" people. I mean all Aston Martins sort of look a like, but that's not a problem because they all look gorgeous even if you can't tell them apart from more than about 10 feet.

Apparently I have a thing for ugly mustangs then with my only history being a 92, a 95, and my current 09.

Nah I just like giving people shit.

My buddy is looking to get a 11-14 and im pushing him to get one, great time to buy them if you like them. I wish I did, I try to like the style, sometimes they look tolerable with the right mods, but im not gonna spend $20-24k on something thats "tolerable" only when modded. But thats just me.

Actually direct injection thus far has proven to be a godsend for boosted applications.

Because the pressure of the fuel being injected and the size of the injectors, there is HUGE headroom in the stock fuel system. Think about it, the fuel is being injected at an immense psi since its being introduced right before TDC and the spark event so it has to have alot of pressure behind it. Now you add 7, 14, etc PSI. This amounts to jack shit compared to the force pushing the fuel in.

The other vehicle love interests I have are genesis coupes, the 13+ are direct injection (both 2.0t and 3.8 v6). The v6 guys are throwing on turbo kits and only seeing menial increases in IDC in order to match proper afr's. The added volume of air just doesnt make much of a difference compared to whats already in there and whats being injected.
