For those of us who live in California......why don't we leave?

California is by far one of the most beautiful states in the US. If it was a red state, I'd move there in a heartbeat.

The only time I'll visit CA is when Feinstein finally croaks and I go defecate on her grave.

I love Cali and want to move there for the beautiful weather and other things that a 20 something year old desires lol. Ive been spoiled with Michigan's low COL, lax gun laws and no emissions.

This is a big part of it. I live exactly one hour from the beach, 30 min from the mountains, 45 min from the desert (shooting, off roading, dirt bikes), and about 2.5 hours from the world's best sand dunes.

Bingo. Mix in small children and it makes no sense. At this point i stay because my kids have built life long friends and its not fair to yank them out because of liberal politics.

Truth is, aside from the politics, if you can afford to live in an upper-middle class neighborhood, you have nothing to worry about. Most of the bitching is "louder" on the internet. Ca is still a great place to live overall.

All that said, i'll move when i retire to either New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, or Texas. You can bet on that.
Pretty much all this.

I live by the border of SoCal and NorCal, so in between of everything thats good about California. San Diego is about 3 hours away, Frisco is about 4.5 hours away. If we can have most of the libs out and their traffic, I would enjoy it even more.

There should be another thread:
If you dont live in Cali, why do you care so much about all things california?

Some of you guys live on the other side of the country and bitch about this place all the time. Why does california hurt your feelings so much, did California steal your girlfriend? :(

Don't look at it as us caring about KA because we don't. We just don't want the poppycock to expand beyond the borders of the state into others. Do whatever it is you want. Care more about illegal aliens than citizens. Ignore Constitutional rights because they scare you. Elect another moron as governor. Just do not contaminate the rest of the country.

I lived in San Diego for 6 years. It was beautiful. And the state government, regulations, taxes, cost of living, traffic, and overall lack of freedom drove me out.

The best part of my move back to Denver was hearing all my local friends whine:
"The traffic is HORRIBLE"
"Housing is SO EXPENSIVE"
"My WATER Bill is HIGH"

I literally was in tears laughing at them. Literally.

And then you went to the race track and ran a 13 sec quarter mile with your 700hp GT500 and those tears of joy turned to tears of pain.

:)

Family is why we stay, and there is a lot of cool stuff here. There isn't anything I can't make a day trip out of. Snow boarding, dirt bike riding, any kind of race track, etc.

That being said, we will probably end up saving some cash and moving out of state eventually. Its just getting way too expensive to live here with all the socialist policies. And no smog inspections is a huge draw.

He probably has multiple places to run his 1/4 mile. With only one 1/4 track serving SD, OC, LA and the 909 its a cluster**** at Autoclub Dragway. I doubt Pomona will ever run public again

I'm within a reasonable drive to famoso. Willow springs is pretty close and they have 1000' drag nights during the summer. Button willow isn't too far. Plus fontana and such further south.

Seriously. We need more tracks. Just went to barona last Saturday and that drive sucked on that wild cat canyon road pulling a trailer. I would love to race Pomona once.

I wouldn't give 2 shits about what happens in California, if it would STAY in California.

Not all of us are like that. Pretty much all the douche bags came from other states anyway

Family is the reason why I'm still here.

I've lived in Indiana for 2-3 years. Hated it and now I feel like moving back lol
The weather is nice. The people are pretentious. Traffic is shit (and getting worse). Liberal policies here has everyone around me like this:

I grew up in the hood, got out of the hood. Now the place I live is like the hood I left out of. lol homeless people are EVERYWHERE now. I love this place but I hate it at the same time. CA is not what it once was IMO.

My plan is to move to Texas or any conservative state where I can be left alone.

Very few places seem to not have ghetto trash anymore.

Yup. Downtown used to be the shit now it's just a shit show. Last time I was in DT there was a homeless dude walking and shitting at the same time lol smh

Doesn't surprise me. We took the trolley from near where we lived into downtown a couple times, and there were always too many shady characters around and fights on the trolley and walking around downtown.
