He probably has multiple places to run his 1/4 mile. With only one 1/4 track serving SD, OC, LA and the 909 its a cluster**** at Autoclub Dragway. I doubt Pomona will ever run public again

There is also Barona and Irwindale for 1/8th. Famosa for 1/4.

Plenty of options still in Ca although i VERY MUCH miss Pomona. I ran my turbo eclipse at Pomona some 17-18 years ago and it was the best track ive ever been on.

Doesn't surprise me. We took the trolley from near where we lived into downtown a couple times, and there were always too many shady characters around and fights on the trolley and walking around downtown.

I used to love taking the trolley when I was younger but now, not so much lol
Trolley smells like ass and elbows now. I'll take an Uber/Lyft if I need to go DT

1/8 mile drag racing is like banging a porn star with a sad ending: Shes screws your brains out, then halfway through tells you to finish on your own as she leaves.

Famso raceway is awesome but still pretty far for a 1/4 mile track, about 1.5 hours from me. I miss LACR, it was a shitty track but opened pretty much every weekend and only cost $10-15 to race and hardly packed since it was opened almost all the time.

LACR was fun. I do miss it as well.

Their "tech" was a joke. Some of the garbage that ran down that track was downright dangerous! Lol.

Good ol days.

Remember Carlsbad? Miss that one too. Sea level racing... awesome!

LACR was awesome. I only lived across town from it at the time. I miss that track. You would never get any record breaking runs as the air sucks ass, but it was a cheap way to have fun and keep up on your power shifting without doing it on the street.

Its too bad they only leased the land they were on.

But if you want to come here and slowly turn this state into CA kindly **** off. We have too many CA liberal transplants that are trying to ruin this place by demanding policy that turned CA to shit.
My wife and I have talked about moving to AZ for some time now. I assure we will not bring liberal non-sense from CA should we decide to make the move.

ahah Yeah I remember the cars, they even let some with loose battery’s run. Literally street cars would run as is. It was awesome lol Car running on headers? Go right ahead lol

I heard the Carlsbad track was making a return or another track nearby.

I lived 40 min away and somewhat knew the guy’s granddaughters, they lived by us.

Funny thing, they gave them the land back again and they re-opened the Motorcross track again. Sadly, the racing track never came back.

Ya. Its pretty easy to build a few dirt mounds. Not so cheap to repave a drag strip. Would cost millions i'm sure.

we also pay ridiculous taxes, deal with the worse gun laws, and the most retarded democrats.

True. However, i am blessed to live in a upper middle class neighborhood. I don't have guns or look to own one
And why do people move to California?
Because it's beautiful and doesn't have freezing winters (atleast in southern Cali, why would anyone move to northern Cali?).
Many Swedish people move to the southern parts of the US, mainly Cali or Florida only to escape the freezing winters. No sane Swede would move to Michigan for example. Like trading a green apple for another green apple, it's the same.
The northern California coast is way more beautiful than SoCal.

NorCal is gorgeous. My wife's grandparents live in forest hill. Amazing views. Tons of (dying) trees, and deer come right up to their porch constantly.

Same thing i said until i bought my first gun. A Springfield XD subcompact .40.

Think i have 10+ now in my safe.. everything from revolvers, semi-auto hand guns, AR15, shotguns, 30-06..

Its a fun sport and a great way to spend time outdoors.

you should really get a gun. doesn't matter where you live, a gun is always handy. robbers tend to target nicer neighborhoods anyway...

I used to live in the Bay Area. Alameda to be exact. The weather agreed with me there(rain, sun, clouds but never too cold) but I had trouble meshing with the locals. We couldn't seem to ever agree on much of anything.

The only reason I have stayed in California is family. The weather is nice, but other then that it isn't what it is cracked up to be.

^Sometimes I think The Beach Boys are responsible for attracting a lot of people to Cali. *shrug* From what I've heard it was way better back in the 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s....
