Sorry you feel like you got mis-represented to, that's a sucky feeling.
I bought an 03 10th Anny car from jserr in Toledo back in March. Super clean, low miles, went and saw the car personally before making the deal, and I'm still very happy with it. As always, once I got the car up on stands and crawled under it, I was a little disappionted in the quality of some of the workmanship ( bubble gum welds on exhaust, spacers on rear wheels ), but nothing that's a big deal or can't be rectified. I paid what I felt was top dollar for the car, because I wanted it, and I could afford it, and I'm sure you felt the same way. I'm not sure the seeler was even aware of of these minor issues or not, but I may not have paid what I did if I was aware of them beforehand. Don't get me wrong, seller was a great dude, and I have no hard feelings at all, unlike your situation.
I guess my only advice would have been if I was thinking about dropping 30 large on a car, I think I woulda booked a ticket from IA to CA to put an eyeball on it first.

Seller was more than aware of the parts and knew better on the description. I did pay top dollar for this car plus I had to have it shipped to Iowa that was another load of cash. If I include that, I have about 3100 more in the car now and I still need to get it tuned and running correct as it wont idle and when it does seem to hold idle there is a huge dead spot in the response. I am looking the car over and making sure there isnt anything else wrong with the parts that were stated. I know that the clutch that is in the car is a blue case, so that might not even be the same one that is in the picture.

I brought it to my local tuner and we started 1 pull on it and the alternator was bad, running 0 volts at 4500 rpm. So I fixed that ran again and the pumps we maxed out at 5400 rpm and he said fix the fuel lines... More I think about this the more pissed I become.

ugh, hate seeing posts like the buyer's. why i'm so iffy about buying a modified mustang. if i buy, i want to buy new or as close to stock as possible; which is hard in the case of cars like the 03/04 cobra.

no one modifies / adds power to these cars to baby them. a situation like the buyer's is always an outcome... gl to the buyer; hope he can find a way to salvage the purchase and "get the car he paid for".

the dude has 1600 some post so I'm sure he will be on here again and get either really embarrassed or get mad. Either way have you had any contact with him regarding the problems and possible partial reimbursement?

Me: hey what kit did you put on for the fuel system and do you still have the receipt? 5:00 PM
Me: also I need to get that title. Can you make a bill of sale and sign it and send it to me. 5:06 PM
Arbi Cobra. : Hey what's up bud, it was lethals return system bro. Just changed out to bigger 405's, had higher quality lines put in for return/feed. When I get home, if I can log into lethals website to see my purchase summaries ill let you know ASAP. 5:22 PM
Arbi Cobra. : I can make a bill of sale for sure dude, as soon as the title is in my hands this week or next, ill call you and send it out to you p 5:23 PM
Me: ok cool. Still trying to get this to run. Need all the invoices and everything so I can give it to the tuner. Save me some time. Thanks 5:26 PM
Arbi Cobra. : Sounds good, no prob 5:27 PM
Me: the fuel lines on the car are 8an and 6an and that is not a 1200 or 1400hp kit from lethal. So get me that info because they sent you the wrong kit and I talked to derek and he said they would work it out but I need to original info. 9:27 AM
Arbi Cobra. : Ya KC I know that bro, it was originally a budget kit that I had ret upgrade everything essentially to a 1200whp kit and they said it would be fine 9:28 AM
Arbi Cobra. : I stock with it and changed the fuel filter out too 9:28 AM
Me: ah in your add it says its a 1400 kit and its starving for fuel...... 9:31 AM
Arbi Cobra. : I originally purchased the budget kit, after 2 weeks, talked to Matt and once he found out my power goals, he's like you need to upgrade this stuff, whatever he recomended, I upgraded. The fuel pumps, ret upgraded the lines, and the filter. Talked with Matt again at lethal, ran it by him, he said I'd be perfectly fine with that. I basically threw on what they had on their kit part by part because it would'nt be worth it to send it back to them according to Matt 9:31 AM
Me: Jarad from lethal said no way..... 9:36 AM
Arbi Cobra. : Well KC it's totally possible I supposed because when I had purchased the kit a long time ago, a lot has changed in their kits. From the hats, the pumps, to the lines, they used to use paper filters in their fuel filters and misc items. 9:39 AM
Me: on the 1400 kit then never used 8 and 6 on the budget they used too till last november. 9:42 AM
Arbi Cobra. : I see, I really don't know bud. Wish I had more info on the lines. I went off what Matt and RET told me, they are the experts, and the car pulled just fine and was working properly. 9:45 AM
Me: I have dumped about 2200 in this car that was suppose to be running and driving with no issues, and I keep finding them, I have bought 8 cars online site unseen and have not had any issues till this one. we need to work this out asap. 9:45 AM
Arbi Cobra. : KC it was working just fine when I sold it bro, I'd love to help you out but obviously you know with race cars some things happen here and there sometimes. It's part of our hobby, I have no idea what they have changed bro. 9:46 AM
Arbi Cobra. : You know how it is bro, I've bought stuff like this too, I realize that you have to spend money. I put over 22k in that car and sold it for way less. I can't put anymore money into it, I don't even own it anymore bro. 9:47 AM
Arbi Cobra. : I feel terrible that this fuel crap hiccup is ruining your experience but it looks like you got it figured out now 9:48 AM
Me: well I would probably be fine if it truely had the 1400 on it. is there anything else I need to know? 10:04 AM
Arbi Cobra. : No nothing at all bro, I hope they change that out for you and you can go wide open throttle just like I was before I sent it out to you and fully enjoy the car, you'll see that it's an amazing machine 10:05 AM

So yes lots of contact, but nothing other than I lied about the parts.

wow! gotcha! could be playing the dumb card maybe? Doesn't seem fair to you. I've been overly screwed myself. So i figured I would buy something worth working on even If i do get screwed- 04 in avatar Which I just changed. Still a car worth getting right. Have a look! Good thing is the body itself looks immaculate but pics can be deceiving. Hope nothing else surprising pops up?? And what's with the whole bro thing? lol

Really KC ? You purchase the car as is, 800+whp running just fine. Even drove it for 40+ miles to fill up a tank of E85 for you before your guy came to pick up the car. I was as honest as honest gets. I can already tell you that because of this post, you dont know what you got yourself into.

Its an 800+whp car that was in excellent shape and everyone over at RET could vouch for it. This is something I find just super annoying, please go again and read through each of my feedback and click on the links to see how people felt when I dealt with them on numerous thousands of dollars spent and sold.

I sold you a car I put a ton of money into with top quality parts, you even go as far as failing to mention ive been in contact with you almost every other day just giving you tips and info and fail to mention that even though YOU AND I CLEARLY didnt see in my own pics that a cowl was cracked that I sent you money to cover it immediately even though I could have been a dick like most on forums and say you purchased a car as is ?

KC you need to realize that this is not a 2013 Toyota Camry that you can change oil of every 12,000 miles and just throw 87 octane in there and go. You need to keep up with the maintenance, there is a lot of stuff done to this vehicle. But you already know that and you know. This car traveled over 1700 miles and you said it had more milage than the picture i took before it was loaded when you received it.

Im sorry you are going through this fuel issue but I wont take responsibility for something that I have no idea happened or what could have happened from the time it got to you from here in Socal.

Oh ya, another thing, car pulls hard to the left ? How so when it just freshly aligned 4 months ago ? Not an Mcloed RXT and mcloed aluminum flywheel, I urge you to take apart the transmission and see yourself and also call Greg at Racers Edge Tuning since he was the one that installed it all.

Again, I repeat, you purchased a race car as is,with tons of hard earned money into, in excellent shape. Youve seen all the recent videos on youtube going over 160mph like 3-4 weeks ago, fuel pumps maxed out at 5400rpm ? Alternator bad ? Come on my man. This doesnt sound like the guy I sold the car to.

I have personally seen all the problems with this car. Straight off the transport the car wouldn't even run! Maybe alot of nice parts on this car but for the money he paid and the way it runs, bad deal. Seller talked this car way up and should feel bad. Come on man the steering wheel was about to fall off.He talks about the place that built the car being good if I let a car leave my shop like that I'd be out of business..just shows more $ than brains

You said you never noticed this and it had to happen on the truck? I realize you did pay for half, but come on? I just replaced the alternator and I have the receipt. I will post the dyno sheet for you to see. Something was up with this car when you sold it to me. What about the 1400hp fuel system? I am pissed about this.

This review, I wish I would have seen this too... http://www.lethalperformance.com/review/product/list/id/37840/

Here is the voltage drop...

Hi guys,

I left the price on the title so you don't click if you want to come in and offer 20k. $30,000 is the price. I know what the car is worth and everything done was top notch with no expense spared. The car has 66,000 miles, clean title and in immaculate shape. Im buying a house and can use the money. Car has never seen rain while Ive owned it, always been a southern California car and was purchased from the dealer down the street from me in Glendale, CA. Always garage kept.

Kept it looking stock on the outside as you can see. Tires are pretty much brand new.

There are seriously too many things done to this car to list but I have a word document I can email you with the full mod list. The motor itself and all the mods pretty much have less than 1,000 miles on it. Everything is flawless.

Literally, over $22,000 in parts.

Some things to note:

MMR 900S 5.0 liter stroker with stock heads/cams ( 8:5:1 )
Whipple 3.4L Crusher system
Bosch 105lb injectors / Lethal 1400whp return system with dual 405 walbros
26 Spline input shaft from Liberty
Mcloed RXT
Mcloed Aluminum Flywheel

Car made 815whp/795tq at Racers Edge tuning on a conservative tune at 19* timing.

This motor has only seen E85 since it was built, nothing else, pulls like a raped ape. I will throw in like 25 gallons of E85 with the car too since I have it sitting here.

If you are a serious buyer, you are more than welcome to come along for a drive with me and I can show you how the car runs. Your looking at a turn key 9 second drag car if that is what you are into. You just need suspension because mine is stock except lowering springs and a billetflow irs brace.

EVERYTHING on this car was done professionally by Racers Edge Tuning in Downey, CA and the shop owner Greg can vouch for me and all the work done to the car since it was stock when it rolled into the shop. I stand by everything I own, not just my car. My feedback can do all the talking itself. Im OCD about everything.

Exterior 9/10 ( some rock chips in front, touch paint will fix )
Interior 10/10 ( stock driver seat in storage and you can have it too, currently has a brand new Sparco Pro2000 in it )

Sold as running and driving with no issues. Got it and it wouldnt idle. Had to swap out both 405 pumps for 465 pumps(e85 issue) still doesnt idle. Fuel system on the car was a budget setup and was sold as a lethal 1400hp. Car is so far out of alignment, pulls hard to the left. This was misrepresented and didnt need to be. Cowl was broke on both sides and Arbi said it was fine when it left, but I can see the cowl is broke in the pictures when I zoom in on them. Not been a great experience. I have about $2200 (and counting) in the car since I got it trying to fix all the issues and get it to run right. The fuel system is 8an and 6an(budget) and needs to be 10an and 8an(1400hp as sold) according to lethal with the power its making. Told me the day it was shipped that it needed an airbag clock spring.... Pretty sad you cant just state what you have on the car and not over sell it. I should have passed on this car. Guess its a case of buyer beware.

If you are selling a car, just dont pad the truth. Sell it with honesty and respect the buyer. Pretty easy. I have bought many cars offline and site unseen and this is the first one I have had issues with. Not a bad car, but just misrepresented.
This is why you never buy a modded car, or any car for that matter sight unseen. At least have s reputable shop in his area check itout for that $250.

Lethal Performance 99-04 4V Budget Return Style Fuel System

Yes, I didnt notice it because I didn't care and didnt even know what a cowl was until you mentioned it to you. I would have never replaced that even if I had seen it but obviously people have their own personal preferences therefore you replaced it. That alternator lasted over a year for me with no problems and it was sent out to you the same way but everyone and their moms knows how alternators run on cobras, let alone an 800+whp one. So I'm not surprised if it took a dump, it happens, and don't be surprised if the one you purchased takes a shit in a few months or less because that's how bad they really are but you'll find out sooner than later.

I clearly told you nothing was up with it other than the possible fact that the fuel pumps may be going bad even though they were purchased brand new and had less than 1000 miles and I dropped the price of the car $800+ to keep you happy incase they went bad which you mentioned they were fine after you had it inspected. I didn't even know if they were bad, hell, you even said they weren't and I dropped the price $800 on an assumption.

The fuel system was altered to that of the 1400whp system, clearly as you stated it wasn't because the lines didnt match that of that system, I'm sorry I never even looked that far into it because when I informed Matt @ lethal of what my goals were when the car was being built and he told me what was required to match that of the 1400whp, I took care of it and purchased the extras. Evidently the lines weren't switched because it wasn't mentioned to me and the car was running awesome, never worried about it.

Anyways, I'm done posting on the Internet about it. You have my number, please call me if you want to talk. Ill be calling you soon regardless so I can give you the tracking # when I send out your title and receipts.
