Well my 11 year old daughter goes to a private school in Austin and was put on suicide watch after she was mimicking a scene from a movie with her plastic scissors. LOL!!
It only lasted untill they contacted us about it an hour or so after.

It was a trip but sometimes the teachers just go a little to far with the rules.
But thier are some wackos out there and a lot of them are young.
SEE YA!

If the girl had her head screwed on right, it may not be anymore. Absolutely ludicrous.

Very true, this kind of thing is what messes up a perfectly good kid otherwise.

I'm surprised that a police officer didn't have a gun pointed at the kid as they were about to cuff the child. :nonono:

The article never said they didn't.

When my brother and I were young (8,11) we stole our dads 270 hunting rifle and went to the neighborhood pond to shoot birds and fish. After a couple shots the police showed up and simply escorted us and our dads gun back home. This was the late 80's (not really that long ago).

Imagine what would happen now. This country IS turning into one big vagina, and the vagisil is on backorder.

I was suspended from high school back in '98 for having nail clippers on my keychain. The clippers had that swing open filer on it, and they say that was the main reason for suspending me for 3 days. After that, I lost the motivation to make good grades and barely made it to graduation

'"She did not use it inappropriately. She did not threaten anyone with it. She didn't pull it out and brandish it. Nothing of that nature," explained Marion County School Spokesman Kevin Christian"'

Now, "The girl now faces a felony charge for possessing a weapon on school property and has been suspended from school for 10 days"

That's P-A-T-H-E-T-I-C! :xpl:

The kind that wants their child to eat steak and not be arrested for something totally absurd.

I agree, it was absurd. The situation was handled very poorly... But your gunna sit there and tell me you would give your 10 year daughter a steak knife to carry to school? :??:

Maybe the parents can cut the steak for her at home, and send her to school with a steak already cut up?
Use your brain.

Revolution is coming. Day by day, month by month, year by year this country is becoming one big vagina and actually starting to piss off it's own citizens the most.

The Death of Common Sense

Wednesday, 7 December 2005

Presenter: Kelly Higgins-Devine

This verse was read on the morning show with Kelly Higgins-Devine.

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend
by the name of Common Sense
who has been with us for many years.

No one knows for sure how old he was
since his birth records were long ago lost
in bureaucratic red tape.

He will be remembered as having cultivated
such value lessons as knowing when to come
in out of the rain, why the early bird gets the worm and
that life isn't always fair.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies
don't spend more than you earn) and reliable parenting
strategies (adults, not kids, are in charge).

His health began to rapidly deteriorate when well
intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place.
Reports of a six-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment
for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for
using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for
reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.
It declined even further when schools were
required to get parental consent to administer aspirin
to a student; but, could not inform the parents when a
student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Finally, Common Sense lost the will to live as
the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches
became businesses; and criminals received
better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense finally gave up the ghost after a
woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of
coffee was hot, she spilled a bit in her lap, and was
awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his
parents, Truth and Trust, his wife, Discretion; his
daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason.
He is survived by two stepbrothers; My Rights
and Ima Whiner.

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was
gone. If you still know him please tell others about his passing,
if not join the majority and do nothing.

So in high school cafeterias how do students eat their lunch? Or do they opt just to serve foods like hamburgers and fries, hotdogs, nachos, corndogs, and pizza, to further improve the obesity rates which are dangerously low, rather then to serve healthy alternatives like roast beef or vegetables where a fork an knife are required? Hopefully the next step is to eliminate all the dangerously sharp pencils and pens and scissors from the school and move to a completely oral education to further improve the education system.

I cant wait until the government protects us from everything that we may or may not do to ourselves by putting rubber pads on all walls, little plastic electric socket covers on every publicly available socket so we don’t accidentally use them for evil and the like.:whine:

Pretty soon forks, pencils and any other sharp objects will be banned from school.

A steak knife is nothing but a serrated butter knife, BFD if her parents let her bring it to school. Obviously she eats enough steak to know how to use it properly.

Well this is why they had mental institutions back in that day for the people that weren't "well" in the head. During the 60's, 70's, and 80's almost all of the mental institutions in this nation were closed and never used again. All of the people that should be in them are now among the public taking drugs, aka, perscription medicine and acting like they aren't crazy anymore. This country really is going to shit. But I will tell you one thing. People won't stand for it forever. If this kinda crap does continue there will be a revolution.

I carried around a pocket knife in college and I was just waiting for a cop to give me sh*t about it.

I carried one all through high school, and during deer season I could have named 20+ cars in the parking lot that had rifles in them where the guys had been in their deer stands before school or were going right after. Nobody thought twice about it.

If this were my kid, that school would have a much bigger problem than my daughter's steak knife on their hands....ME. :fm: :fm:

The fact that she was arrested and charged at all really makes me want to kick some people in the head. Y

+1 .. a year ago we caught some *** stealing the wheels off my girls car. I held him until the cops came, but of course they never arrested him even though they had evidence right in front of them. A week later the whole car was stolen and found months later stripped to the frame. My guess it was the same guy.

cant believe it.
