Gt350 Looks questionable in the hp department or am I off?

Thank you for helping me illustrate my point.

The OP was concerned that the HP wasn't enough for a $50k car. I clearly showed that every other 500+ car is a lot more expensive.

Except the zl1 GT500 and HC all starting under 60k. But none of those are NA.

threads like this make me think maybe this forum should be invite only, or require a minimum score on a minimum technical - and COMMON SENSE - test. we're going to bitch about the 526HP GT350, with an engine that produces more than 100HP/L, while the Z28 puts out 505HP for, wait for it... $75k. and still weighs 3850lbs. and doesn't have carbon fiber wheels.
this thread kills my faith in humanity.

The gt350 should have 700hp.

350 x 2 is 700. 350 is in the name and its 2wd so 350hp per tire means it should have 700hp.

Enough with the arguing, I'm just wondering if the 5.2 will be offered as a crate engine...probably a damned expensive one. Imagine a pantera or a noble with this motor in the back. :drool:

My Boss stickered for 45k with options.. The GT350 with a track pack is a 55k car.... So three year newer car on a all new platform with 82 more hp, better suspension, interior etc for only 10k more....
How the heck are some of you guys complaining? I'm not a S550 fan, but I still think the GT350 is a bad mofo!
