The one you added and linked, is not the package with the pmags and red dot.

Based on my previous post and due to further research I’ve decided to change my Trijicon MRO to an ACOG. The AR that it’s going on isn’t designed for long range, yet more of a target, self-defense and tactical class rifle.

I’m looking for suggestions as to which model and power to go with. Also, anyone running a ACOG/RMR combo?

I had n ACOG/RMR. Had the Chevron reticle.

I liked it. I just am in to more of a distance gun so I sold it with the X95 I had it on.

Which color Chevron did you go with? The MRO I have now is great for up close work but as I’ve gotten older as well as want to shoot slightly further the combination of ACOG & RMR is becoming more and more interesting to me.

I am a huge fan of the ACOG/RMR setup. I went with the TA01NSN-RM01.

It's totally not difficult to shoot close range with the RCO red chevron pictured above. Though does take some getting used to for both eye open shooting. Just make sure you get the correct BDC/model for the weapon system/ammo you're using.

Here is a quick video of my son shooting 18" targets with my 300 Blackout at 300 yards. We were at Peacemaker National Training Center. Vortex Venom 3 MOA red dot sight with no magnification. This is his first time shooting anything past 100 yards.

I don't have any video of it, but he also used M4 clone with A2 sights to ring the 18" plates. He used my RPR and was ringing the 6" plate too. He did a great job today.

Got the order in from the PSA deal for the Vortex red/green dot and the 10 Pmags. Killer deal for $179 so I figured I would take some pics of my working gear at this point. This Vortex works perfect for the application as the iron sights are still clearly usable through the mount which was important since the Galils have really good stock sights. I want to up it to something with more optic power but Im going to run this setup and see what I can do with the platform.

Nothing too pretty for rifles and pistol, just work horses. The shotty has always been the crown jewel.

Kit is a TYR Pico-M with some good plates finally. Still have some adjustments to make for ease of use but this will do for now. Pistol belt I have had since the Marines and I will keep it til it is done for. It is equipped with a new Safariland single stage holster though.

Not my ideal setup for this rifle but it has been flawless to this point and one of the best rifles to shoot, so it is my favorite right now. I have done some good work with it with nothing but a simple, cheap, Holosun red dot.

I have everything I need to this point so next up us a rifle that actually fits everything that I want. I'm building a .300 Blackout SBR to hopefully have by next year sometime obviously.
