Check cashed for my SBR stamp and now the wait begins. While waiting I’m trying to decide on what upper to go with.

Three options that I can think of
1.) Aero complete upper - cheap, easy, bolt and go
2.) DDMK18 - baller status because why the hell not
3.) Build my own - price would be half way between option 1 and 2 and I would know the firearm inside and out. Con would be that I need to buy a bunch of tools and or higher a shop to build it out.

I’ve got time so not in a rush, but I like planing it out ahead of time.

Option 1.

I bought one for a recent 16" build and was very pleased with the performance.

Did you mod it at all? I’m thinking of upgrading the brake to their second option and adding the “cage” just for the hell of it.

Don’t get me wrong, it will be mated to my Aero lower which I love in every aspect.

I didn't. Long story long. I bought a new Aero stripped lower from a friend three hours away just so I would make myself go see him. I planned to just park it in the safe.

Then I decided to build a basic rifle on the cheap.

$1400 later I have a sweet shooting 6lb CQB rifle. lol

What caliber are you going with? I’m still waiting on parts, but my SBR builds are 90% Aero Precision. Just need that 8in .300blk barrel to come back into stock.

5.56, but would love a .308. 5.56 is all I have and can’t get any more lowers without selling a nut or kidney. Thanks Healey.

Have thought about .300 but for the price point on ammo I can’t commit and reloading is out of the question.

I hear ya. My “cheap” Aero lower turned into about $1400 without including glass. The BCM upper on my Aero will be mounted on my Anderson lower once I get my stamp.

Yeah the price of ammo is not awesome. But I’m hoping it’s worth it when running suppressed.

There were some decent deals during Black Friday. But I spent ~$2700 on parts. The wife would not have been happy if I dropped more on ammo.

No one replied to this question... Anyone use 22 Gun Club?

So, some bill that enacts national concealed carry reciprocity has passed the House and Senate every year for the last 6 years. However, Obama vetoed the bill every time. Congress couldn't muster enough votes for a veto override.

Today, National Concealed Carry Reciprocity, H.R. 38, cleared the House Judiciary Committee in Congress by a 19 to 11 vote! Now it heads to the House Floor.

Trump said if this hits his desk, he will sign it! If you haven't contacted your Representative in support of H.R. 38, now would be a good time!
