I'm not thrilled with mail-in rebates, either. You have to mail stuff in and then wait about 7 weeks for a rebate check. But I did go with the Federal rebate (25% off) two weeks ago. Got 1,000 rounds of Federal American Eagle 9mm ammo at Target Sports USA. Price was $157.35 after the rebate. Rebate is still available through 12/31 but the ammo is out of stock. If anyone is interested, they can call Target Sports to see when the ammo will be back in stock.

I was supposed to go shooting yesterday. Too busy a day so now I'm going next Friday. I always look forward to it.
I’m going tomorrow. I try to go at least once a week.
I need to buy some land and put a small building on it so I can shoot whenever.

What a spectacular day in eastern NC today. Started out at 30 degrees and ended at 60.
We had 62 shooters at H20 Fowl Farms for the BUG match (back up gun) and raised about $1200 and lots of toys for USMC Toys for Tots today.
And I gotta brag. Shot 15th overall. Best pistol match I've shot to date. Not bad for an old fart.

Personally I’d get a p938 and put hogue rubber grips on it. It’s easier to shoot and almost as easy to conceal.
I'd like to go weekly but my schedule doesn't always allow it. I used to go once a month but that's just not enough. So I've been going every other Friday. My daughter usually goes with me. She has the same HK VP9SK that I do. Wasn't planned. Just coincidental. She liked the way it felt and shot when she went through a training course at the range.
Yes. It is an awesome gun. I have the stainless one in 9mm. I know someone mentioned the 938 but there is no comparison. The Ultra Compact is a far superior gun. I am continually amazed at how the 3.3 inch barrel on this gun still shoots like a full size gun. I have 2 other guns that are a good bit more expensive than the Ultra but the Ultra is my favorite gun. I think it is because it is my daily carry, but I can shoot it as well as a full size gun. I promise you won't be disappointed in it.
I have two, but had an FTF with JHP on both. Even with the round count up, continued to have periodic FTF. I use my Kimber Ultras for my concealed carry. I have six of them, and have never had an issue with any of them. I always cycle one of them through on my range days. My daily is a Master Carry Ultra with night sights, Crimson Trace grips, and two spare mags.
