I know a few of you have commented on or own the Colt Python. What's your opinion on these?

They are a significant upgrade from a smith 686 or a ruger gp100. The trigger and finish is not even close to these. You pay up but the difference is worth it. Prices have come in to the point that I think the new production Python is now a good value.

Alternatively you can get a smith 686 and finish the trigger to the point that it is comparable to the python. The fit and finish will not compare though. Also there is the Hillary hole which is a whole other ball of wax.

Personally I think Ruger is trash and not even in the same category. I have had a couple of gp100s that were OK and a redhawk that was garbage. They are a closer comp to Taurus.

I have not handled a Korth but my understanding is that these blow away Pythons so look at these if you have truly discriminate taste.

I checked out the Korth website. If the Python is sticker shock, then the Korth is sticker electrocution! Those things are pricy! Looks like a nice piece though.

Got her home and assembled last night just before work. Really good feel, action is smooth, assembly was easy. Larger charging handle which is a common upgrade is a must. Will eventually get to the 2 round upgraded tube from a 5 round to a 7 round. Pretty sure I'll throw a red dot on at some point. Sights are still pretty nice however. Bolt release needs the upgrade as well being so small. Plus if I can reverse the safety I will but definitely not concerned one way or the other on that. Trigger pull is sweet but also upgradeable. Love how the forearm grips sandwich between parts to be firm and not lose. Gonna be a fun weapon no doubt.

I just checked out the Korth website, too, and this one (NXR 44 Magnum) caught my attention. But my wallet snapped closed. LOL. $5,199.00. But what a beauty! That Turkish Walnut GRIP!

Franklin armory stainless steel media

I asked because my (deceased) close friend used to use walnut shell media for cleaning brass. I've never cleaned casing, so I honestly don't know which is better, or WHEN one is deemed better than the other.

This is my third different Ruger Precision Rifle, this one in 6.5 Creedmoor. Easiest shooting gun I've ever had. No recoil, super accurate.

Zero'd it in one shot to 200 yards. Dropped a coyote on Saturday at just under 290 yards.

Anyone have an opinion on Christianson Rifles? I am thinking of a new 300 win mag.
