Many newer vehicles are built this way. This is the bullshit you deal with when manufacturers begin building like the Europeans do: ass ****ing backwards.

My sister has one and complains about the difficulty in doing anything to it. I always thought she was just exaggerating. Totally retarded.

Front clip, evac a/c, drain coolant, remove radiator/condenser, install new radiator, install condenser, reattach a/c lines/ upper and lower hoses, add coolant and run till air is out, recharge a/c system. 3 hours? What in the f@#$! Damn...

Edit**

Looks like I forgot airbox, splash gaurds and headlights. Dear lord.

Yeah really reminds me of Audi's lol

I used to make fun of the Euro specialists in my shop. Almost every VW/Audi that came through the door required removal of the entire front end. Now I do the same thing with the Fords.

Surprised it could not come out of the bottom like some of the older Taurus'. The 6.7 and 6.4 diesel is just as bad, and pays about as much.

The splash shield that is on the bottom is part of the bumper.. so dumb.

I hate it when you finish a job and there is a big pile of parts still sitting on the floor.

And you don't EVEN care:-D

I worked at a ford, mercury, Chrysler and dodge dealer several years ago and we got in a used like 2000 passat vr6 4motion.....they wanted to quick used sell and it needed all belts and timing service. I just laughed And said you better wholesale it! They only did serp.belts and no timing/water pump service and sold it to a friend of the owner. ....2wks later had to towed in with broken timing belt which they had to eat. Cost them 5 times what they gave for trade in lol.

LOTS of cars these days require you take the nose off, it actually makes things a lot easier. Maybe 10 fasteners and a handful of electrical connections and you have total access to the front of the engine bay.

10 fasteners??? LOL you have to be joking, maybe 10 on just the bottom, not to mention the inner fenders which I half ass took off. Once the bumper is off you then move to the core support, after that is the headlights, then you take the top radiator cover off, after that and removing the coolant lines and a/c lines you can have the assembly of the condenser/radiator/fans off. Once you remove the fans and condenser you have your radiator out. Now put all that back together and hope you make your 3 hours of book time..
