My brother has an issue where he wants to down shift and its hard to put it in gear only when he wants to down shift. other then that car shifts smooth when driving it. for example he can move up on speed and shift all the gears without and issue but when hes slowing down and down shifting it feels like he needs to force it in.. I dont know if its an trans fluid issue bc we used some mecro number? whats everyone running or recomend

I run Royal Purple Max ATF. Granted, I don't run the stock T-56 anymore, but shifting seems to be smooth up or down.

When you have to force it in gear ( up or down ) it's rebuild time. Fluid isn't going to help now

mine started kinda like that and got worst over time. I finally figured it out when I pull the trans, it was the tob sleeve was cracked on one side.

Try Anti-venom mod. and Amsoil Torque Drive ATF, should atleast buy you some time. FWIW I've had RP, OE, Synchmax, Mobil 1 etc., the aforementioned has been the best IMO.

What about clutch cable adjustment?

Going up i dont even use clutch
