Head tick

Went for a fairly long drive to visit some relatives this weekend, roughly 100 miles or so, back and forth. Started my car up about an hour ago, and could hear a very distinct, audible ticking, coming from the driver's side head. Is there any solution for this other than buying a new head? Answers much appreciated.

Read through cobra bob's terminator FAQs....it's not necessarily a issue with your head you are dealing with. Could be a bunch if other things like noisy injectors....

Sound wasn't there before, and it's definitely coming from the rear of the driver's side head. When I rev, it ticks louder and faster.

Turns out the car somehow ate it's oil. Dipstick was literally dry. Got 6 quarts of Mobile 1 and a motorcraft filter waiting for a free day. Hopefully that fixes the issue.
