Hello,

I am looking at an 2004 40th anniversary mustang gt. It has 24,000 miles on it and is all original. Nothing has been touched and there has been two owners. I was looking on some advice on what I should pay for the car. The owner is asking for 13,900. Anything helps please help thanks!

Id pass unless that is really what you are set on. 40th aniv. is just badges and a different interior I belive still rated at 260 hp. You could get a clean 99-01 Cobra for that or if you could spend a little more get a terminator. Not knocking 2V's but it takes alot to make them quick I think.

thanks for the quick reply. Right now that's what I am looking for. More of a driver type of mustang. What would you pay for the car?

If its what you really want probably no more than 9k-10k tops maybe a few others will chime in. Id still search for a low mile 99-01 Cobra or 03-04 Mach 1 if the 03-04 Cobra is out of your budget. Ive seen some low mile 05 GT's going for 13.5k with like 50k miles on it and they were rated at 300 and the
3V 4.6 takes better to mods cheaper than a 2V.

from what ive been seeing my number would be around 11.5 but that's top dollar. I was looking to see what other people think. Hopefully some people respond quickly!

I would pay 10k max if I were you. I would suggest looking for a nice 99-01 Cobra or a Mach 1. With about 11-12k you could find a nice one and have a much better car in my opinion.

12,500 with that low of miles. Don't let anyone fool you into thinking you can buy a that low of mileage cobra for 11-12k.

Buddy just paid $9 for a ~50k mile 40th with a blower on it. I'd pass.

Put 11.5 down on a Termi and call it a day.

I sold my Oxford White 03 Mach for 14K and it was in mint condition making 480hp. GT not so much, maybe $9k.

If you really want a GT, that price is definitely high. If it were me, and I ruled a 2003-2004 Cobra out of the equation, I'd look for a nice Mach 1. Better looking than the GT with a nicer interior. You'll probably find that the Mach 1s are going to slotted, price-wise, in-between the GT and Cobra. Assuming you're focusing on model years 2003-2004. I wish you the best in your quest.

Like others have said, Its way overpriced. Youre at the high end in Mach 1 territory at that price. I see 03/04 Mach 1s going from $8-12k all day long right now.

I'd get a mach or a terminator like everyone else said. Hell I got my termi for 12k granted it has some miles on her though :) just keep your eyes open and don't buy the first thing you like

OP, if that's the car you want get it. Make a offer you're comfortable with, all they can do is say no. You will not find a 03/04 Cobra or Mach with 24k miles for anywhere near that price.

Exactly, I don't think the guy is too far off. Maybe you could get it for 12,500?
