If you like WW2 stuff, this guy is telling the story, live...sort of. He started last year, telling you the current weekly news for September 1939, and each week he continued to tell you the current news from that week, 80 years ago. Each video is about 10 minutes. I kept up for a couple months but they got behind.

Here's video one:

When and Why Did the Stock Market Crash in 2008?

We are not close, but if you feel at 15000 points you should buy 50k of Amazon then do it. I dont think youll lose in the long run, but it will drop a good amount more prior to comming back.

Once again it looks like I've accidentally lucked into good timing. I just upgraded from first officer to captain at the airline I fly for (a $30/hour raise). As of now they've announced everyone is frozen in their current position. I was the last group to upgrade. My airline has never had to furlough employees, but I don't know if that will hold up through this. All indications are that this will be the worst blow to the industry ever. My only concern is that I just refinanced both my college and flight school loans. I was planning on paying off $120K in 5 years. I don't mind living in poverty, I grew up eating beanie weenies and wearing thrift store clothes. I just hope I can pay my rent and $2,000/month in student loans. Hell, if it comes down to it, I'll move back into my parents' basement if I have to. For now I'm happy to have my needs met and a job I love.

My father is in the middle of chemo so his immune system is severely compromised and we're running out of hand soap. It sure would be nice if these ****s would stop stock piling the stuff so I can protect him from the simple daily germs that are deadly to him right now.

Fyi, if there are any diabetics or others in Phoenix that require isopropyl alcohol for their daily injections I have 99% iso alcohol at work that we can spare (we but drums of it to blend solvent). Just reach out via PM.

Wow, pretty big 180 degree reversals there.

A little surprised the Democratic superpacs haven't unleashed a similarly styled attack ad using Trump's own contradictory comments about Corona. I'm sure they will. Probably just waiting for what they feel would be the best time.

A shame that a world crisis is going to be used by all for political gain instead of everyone trying to do what's best for the country.

There will be so much financial fall out from this, I would not be surprised if the Democrats punt this election and wait for easier pickings 4 years down the road. They are getting most of their socialist agenda anyway, without the heat.

I was picking up my Starbucks this morning and the line wasn't moving too fast and I started getting a little pissy.

I don't know why, but it occurred to me that many people have had to put up with a lot more than this. The giant tsunamis of 2004 and 2011 came to mind. Imagine everything you had being washed away, and thousands of people gone forever.

Yup, we are going to get through this. A lot (and I mean a lot) of people have endured much more than social distancing.

Protect and serve your families guys!

Absolutely, people who are working on rebuilding their lives in Nashville for one.
As Americans, do what you can to help other Americans get through this asap.
