Hood Blanket

Anyone removed their hood blanket. I removed mine to see if the bottom of the hood was painted and it was. Has anyone just left the blanket off..

Yeah took mine off 10k miles ago, no issues.

The first thing I removed when I bought my car in 2007. All it does is insulate more heat in the engine compartment. Who needs that?

I removed mine due to some rubbing issues and my hood underside was not painted. A rattle can fixed that.
