i recently bought an 2004 mach 1 stock with an x pipe and a flowmaster catback. so I was wondering with what bolt ons i could buy to get at least 300-320 to the rear wheels. also could this be achieved without longtube headers ? or would headers be necessary for my kind of build ?. I would also like to add that I am not on a strict budget but would like to see what I could get out of this N/A.
oh and another question, do you think its possible for a bolt on mach to run high to mid 12s with bolt ons and the stock 3.55 gears?

you can get their easy , bolt ons like a intake and I would think about headers and a tb, my car made 336 and I ran 11.90s with a 6speed and 410s

I was at 295 hp and 308tq on a dynojet with an intake , bbk catted xpipe flows and a tune.

I was right at 300rwhp with a CAI, O/R prochamber, tune, aluminum DS, and weld-in mufflers. Long tubes are definitely one of the better bolt-on's but if you're only shooting for 300 it's not a must-have...

Do an offroad midpipe, k&n filter, catback, and tune. Then you should be close to 300 wheel. You'll need long tubes and cobra cams to get 320. If you want to do pulleys just stick to the accessories not the crank.

Coil packs and a throttle body are worth nothing.

^^ throttle body doesnt gain anything and they tend to be a royal pain in the ass on our cars...very heavy return spring, idle issues etc...

i had a K&N fipk, intake spacer, catted midpipe, catback and vmp dyno tune, made a little over 300 to the wheels and I wanna say 320something torque but that was a loooooooong time ago

While I haven't researched the subject to great detail but why are pulleys a problem? A friend has an 04 auto Mach1 owned since new with just under 40k miles and has had pulleys and tune since new with no issues. Just curious....

and don't do the TB research it NA the stock 1 does just fine, and also people have issues with BBK , and Accufab works better on F I cars.

my mods are in my sig and I put down 365-358 NA ran a 12.93 @ 114 with no hard launch just an easy roll out of the hole

In the past if pulleys were not installed properly they could rotate off center and bore a hole in the block. I believe the piggy back style pullies were better to have because they worked with the stock pullies. But I haven't dealt with pullies since back in 2005/2006.

i've seen people get good results from underdrive pulleys, nothing to much but it will get you some of the extra horses you need. anyhow i'm kind of skeptical about them now.

Throttlebody was worth 1MPH no tune in the qt. That is a good power gain if you think about it

unfortunately MMR might be the only option

The only reason I bought the whole K&N kit is I got it used for a whopping $60 after I ordered the missing part for it

with all the issues I had with mine, not even close to worth it

thats where mine came from, saw a post over on M1R that they were either out or not answering or something along those lines

dont get coil packs i add some and add miss fire and at open throttle it would bog out they suck..
i when back to OEM and my car run like new. i have a 65 mm throttle body and i add to get the cable customise at the pedal there was lots of slack.. put money else where cams or NOS
