You could go with a 2010. Same look as the 2011-2012 but still has the 3v.
2v New Edge:
Pros
Timeless looks. I really like the look of the 99-04 Mustang.
No one expects a 2v to run good. I can do HCI and be around 360rwhp plus nitrous.
it will not be easy to build a NA pump gas 2v to get into the 360rwhp, especially an engine built for DD duties which means you need it to run on 91 octane plus a mild cam that will hold idle and not have any vacuum issues.
anyone that tries to build a high-po 4.6L NA 2v is smoking dope. Waste of $$$, time and effort. Even if you pulled it off you would still get abused by bolt on ls1s.
Personally I believe the New Edge looks better than the 3Vs up to the 2010s. The 2Vs sound better than the 4Vs. The issue is the TFS heads are expensive. If I were building a 2V I would build a Teksid Block, TFS heads, custom cams, the TFS Intake, and either a Centri or turbo.

I think a 360rwhp 2v would be quite easy to built personally.
And lol @ bolt on LS1s abusing it. You silly man
360 rwhp isn't super easy NA. Far easier and cheaper to just put a centri kit on it and call it a day, and have more hp.
FWIW recent thread on a built 2V using STD numbers.

A 3V with cams and bolt-ons tend to hit 340-350 RWHP N/A SAE, add heads, E85, closer to 375 RWHP.
Smoother ride in the 3V, better axles, updated chassis, mod for mod will respond better than the 2V and typically run a tad faster with equal drivers.

I couldn't find many NA 3v 1/4th videos. Have any been 11s with cams only or even stock cams?
Not really digging the 2005 body style or the sound they make. 2v might be slow but it sure sounds like a traditional Mustang.
what type of drugs are you on so i can get some?
Stock terminator is 370rwhp with a blower @ 8psi and 4v heads.
The simple fact is by the time you buy trick flow heads, intake manifold, port work, cams and high compression pistons you will have spent alot more than a vortech kit cost. And at the end of the day you will still have less hp, less torque and worst driveability.
Which is exactly why no one waste time building NA 2Vs.
Not knocking it just telling it like it is.
What part are you having difficulty understanding so I can better help you out? The 360rwhp part or the not losing to bolt on LS1 part?
its the street-able 360 NA RWHP part. Especially on a performance per dollar metric.
What exactly is your point if you don't mind me asking

Thats what i'm planning on doing with mine when my wife graduates. Except i'm going to keep my bullitt intake.

I don't really care about the performance per dollar. If that was the case I'd have a 1985 4 cylinder with a carbed 410w and nitrous.
Plus if I do go blower or something in the future, a good N/A setup will make it that much better.
Jaxbusa what is done to your 2v that has you hating it so much?
since you prefer the "time less" looks of the new edge but still want big performance out of a 2v might i suggest an LS3 swap?
Building 2v NA modular is the equivalent of growing wheat and vegetables in your backyard then using them to make a pizza from scratch when you could have just paid papa johns $10 to make one and deliver it to your front door. LOL
