Add the 20% if you're in GA. 5k is already in the policy.Interesting, I need to read through my policy. Did you have to add that to your policy, or is it standard?

Insure it with Haggerty for the total amount you have invested in the car.
Interesting. I just bought a 1997 Ford Taurus project to be my daily driver. When its up and running, my Shelby will be weekend use only. Im planning some pretty good mods for it, and have been wondering how the hell to insure it properly.
Who do you guys recommend? I see Haggerty and Grundy mentioned. Any other good companies? Its currently full coverage, but Im thinking I like the more specialized insurance approach.
That's fine for my chevelle but I drive the mustang to much for that. There are collector car insurance companies that you can get a policy on but you're limited to like 7,500 miles a year driving, you get the car appraised and they will cover it for the appraisal amount. You should also be able to add supplemantary coverages if the value of your modifications exceeds that of your appraisal value.
Aside from what's already mentioned, no idea on who else specializes in this.

Mine is insured correctly and im covered.Just wondering if you have a modded car and it gets totaled what do you do?
For example a built engine with supercharger and the car gets totaled but no damage to the engine.

Pretty much what I feared, it's a loss. I like the idea of sending the tow truck to the house to take the parts off. I can replace everything but the long block but that's a pretty big piece to be missing haha.
