Plug in the main harness to the left headlight and snake everything over?

also, did you have to splice and extend the hot red cables over to the battery?

Im stuck, with the install.....

gonna go look

Edit: No, my red wires were long enough. No splicing.

My HID ballasts are (passenger) double sided taped to metal next to air filter and (drivers) between battery and fender double sided taped to metal. wires are all zip tied and tucked in where ever they would fit.

Checked again. . All hook ups are driver's side. Otherwise they wouldn't reach the battery.

As Did I.. I laid it all out on the counter first to see how the harness looked.. Then separated it out, hooked up the passenger side, then routed the harness along the factory wiring atop the radiator, then hooked up the drivers side headlight and grounded both there, then i ran the harness into the fenderwell, and back into the engine compartment right at the fusebox. Hooked the harness to the stud on the fuse box

my mechanic i guess thought he knew better. And used the passenger side.

DOh.

ohh well. I have my HID friend who's going to redo the wiring anyhow. He said that
setup is pretty old....and no need for all that wiring.

QUESTION THO.

The bulbs, or HID bulb doesnt sit properly inside the housing of the headlight. Light it
it doesnt lock into place. And without adjusting the headlights, it was shooting up
into the sky when driving home just now.

How did you secure the bulbs into the housing opening. I noticed the bulbs doesnt allow
any sort of locking feeling during install.

Please explain.

BTW. thanks everyone for all the feedback and help!

I should post pictures of my mechanic and his idea's.

I wish the How to tutorial showed where to install these things and had a better write up.

Considering the power distribution box is on the drivers side, it makes zero sense to do it any other way..

I don't recall having any issue with my bulbs locking into place

This is pretty much where the wiring stood. As he zip tied it all up and cleaned
up as best as possible.

All my relays and and excess wiring is behind the drivers side light. This install is super easy and should have took a hour tops. Bulbs should be a 9006. I had zero fitment issues.

i ordered the right bulbs from ddm, the 9006.

But when they were installed in the housing. No looking twist speed bump and lock
mechanism when popping them into place.

did they lock in for you?

Yeah, no issues there either. Is it a really tight fit, or loose.

On my old but factory like housings I remember the DDM bulbs not having the normal tabs and clips to hold them in place.. don't remember what I did..

I still haven't ordered HID's for my projectors so I can't help you on the bulb part
