Long time member, but I haven't been in a Mustang for a while. I owned a 2013 WRX, which I bought new in 2013 and ordered in November of 2012. I out around $8k, maybe a bit more, and focused on only engine modifications and suspension modifications. I just wanted a reliable daily driver since my 99' GT which I bought bone stock turned into a single turbo car with a built block, TKO600, IRS swap from an 03' Cobra and became nearly impossible to DD.
Anyways I totaled my WRX 2 months ago, had a fractured sternum, fully recovered, and while I loved the WRX, I always missed RWD and desperately wanted to get back into a Mustang.
I've found it very difficult to find a 2011-2014 5.0 with low mileage for a decent price. I'm not picky, I just want it to be in good condition with relatively low mileage. I don't mind if it's an 11/12 or 13/14 or if it has no options, or is completely loaded. Most of the ones I see have a mark up that is just across the board from private sellers to dealers. Interestingly I can find a 2015/2016 5.0 with under 10k for around $28 and most of them are loaded at that price. The ones that are base models still cost the same price which I don't understand.
Sorry for the rant, but i've been out of the Mustang scene for a while and i'm looking to get back into another Mustang. I would prefer a 2011-2014 so I can spend around $8-9k on a WRX wagon for a DD. If I buy a 2015-2017 5.0, i'll have to DD it to work for a while until I can pick up another car to DD to work. Luckily work it only 6 miles away.
Thanks for any insight. For those wondering. The 2012 in my sig was a present to father which he barely drives, it actually has 2200 original miles, and the mods that are on it, i'm the one who bought them and installed them, except for the SCT XCAL 3.
Thanks for any insight.
