No, that is why I am voting for McCain as President, not her. Obama chances of being assassinated are just as good as McCain's chances of dying of old age.

It is a good thing she isnt running for President. Nobama isnt qualified to be President and that is the role he wants. Biden, is an accomplished politico, however the DNC has clearly told him on more than one occassion that he is not their choice for President.

Your initial premise is flawed: the President is not responsible for "making all decisions for this countries best interests". The Congress is supposed to be involved. Oh, wait, Congress is populated by a bunch of corrupt, incompetetent, self-serving nincompoop politicians. So, yes, I'd feel MORE comfortable with Sarah Palin as President. Especially over such socialist idiots as Obama, Clinton, Carter, Lyndon Johnson, and Franklin Roosevelt, and just plain idiots as Gerald Ford and GW Bush. Last decent President we had was Reagan, and before that Eisenhower and Truman. Teddy Roosevelt was also a great. That's as far back as I want to admit, although I did like (Silent) Calvin Coolidge and Millard Fillmore. George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were among the best.

I'd rather have a straight shooter like her then most politicians, and btw she is the only person on either side with executive experience in government.

^^"Executive Experience" in Alaska is apparently worth about as much as operating a drive-through at McDonald's.

No, Palin is no where near qualified to be President of the USA. She is the least qualified person out of anyone either party could have put on the ticket.

Fortunately, she is not running for President (but she's doing plenty of damage to the McCain ticket anyway).

Better then being a goddamn one term senator and being on the ticket to be President......do you even know the definition of executive experience or anything about her background?:bash::poke:

Somehow I don't believe you were a fence sitter before her selection was announced..
Most people who are remotly objective seem to love her.
To me..the person who seems the least like a politicain (or in the case of Biden,a used car salesman) is the person I trust the most.

I know a lot about her background and I don't need a lecture from some little high school cheerleader about executive experience. I like Palin as an individual, but Vice Presidential material she is not.

As I stated, I like her as an individual. Had she more education, and a bit of polishing, she might make a great VP. But she doesn't and it's too late to change that.

I agree that the person who seems to be least like a politician is the most trustworthy person. But that doesn't make a bum off the street the most trustworthy person any more than it makes Palin a good VP pick.

And the whole "least like a politician" thing cracks me up. Prior to Obama being picked as the Dem candidate, a good number of people on this site were pissed at the idea of the "career politician" (and rightly so). After Obama and McCain were picked for their respective parties, all of the sudden those same people thought we needed "experience," which is nothing more than a cute euphemism for "career politician." And then, for one more twist, those same people again were shouting the virtues of having a fresh face in Washington once Palin was selected as VP.:rollseyes The mindset of the common neoconservative is a rollercoaster of stupidity.
