NYC sending out gun confiscation letters demanding immediate surrender of firearms. And they say they don't want to take them away..

Is this story real? I noticed a few comments mention it's a hoax. Does any gun owner in NYC actually have this letter? If so then I do to a point agree w/ some comments. These fools keep voting in the legislators so they are getting what they deserve. Just like when the national elections come up and the country elects these socialist left wingers and then complain about it later. The far right is just as bad as the far left and they both play the same games. It gets old and boring fast. When people finally wake up and stop worrying about who to blame for everything and realize that people need to earn what they have/want instead of expecting a free handout the country will change. Until then it will just get worse and worse.

Just a sidenote on the free handouts. I live in MA which we all know is liberal free handouts for everyone except the taxpayers heaven. There was an article in the Boston Herald several weeks ago saying if you make under 50K a year you are better off on welfare. That's what the welfare recipients make each year with all their free handouts and benefits in MA.

It is taken out of context and this letter was edited heavily. Note the lack of the NYC seal on the letter.
