I saw that car the other day and thought it looked really good. Not generally a fan of red. Saw a red with silver stripes that looked pretty good too. Lots of good choices available.

Red never even crossed my mind as an available color for the GT350. Looks pretty good. I wouldn't buy it in red, but it still looks good.

Just a data point. A contact that happens to drive in the GTS class of the PWC commented to a friend after driving one of these (not the one pictured above) recently. He mentioned that coming from a GT500 there is going to be some disappointment. The car simply doesn't have the torque (obviously) that many of us are so used to and you feel it immediately. I wondered if the slight weight decrease would be enough to offset (within reason) the decrease in power and it sounds like it clearly isn't. The GT350 has a lot more to offer than any previous SVT offering but it sounds like the torque we happen to be so fond of won't be there.

The real question is which one performs better on a RACE TRACK.

I have no qualms whatsoever about that. The GT350 will take care of the previous generation's best quite handily. It's going to be a great track car.

Probably would have been a good idea to get the oil temps up before revving to 8 grand (note gauge at :22 mark). Does sound nice though.

Like 03VertGT said, that goes without saying. There is an enormous torque (and HP) difference between the two cars. Anybody that thinks/thought the GT350 would feel as fast or faster is fooling themselves. The car would probably have to weigh down near 3,000 pounds (or less) to "feel" the same. The GT350 will be like the E90/92 M3. It'll be fast, but it won't feel fast. It's still not going to be as fast as the '11 - '14 GT500 in a straight line, but will no doubt kill them on a complex road course.

Yum.

As to the previous post, I have no doubt going from a GT500 to this car will feel very different. Hence why I think Ford will still drop a powerful version later on. My plan is to own one of each, GT350 and GT500.
