Ok guys, Im not asking if a Kenne bell is better than a whipple, and I know theres better KB superchargers out there than the outdated 2.2, but Im getting a steal on one and they do sound great, so my question is will I be able to see 600hp with a 2.2, or at least close to it? Is it safe? How much boost will I need? What pulley setup etc. etc.? The combo will consist of KB BAP, bassani catted X, Borla catback, 2400MAF, 60#injectors, JLT CAI. If I cant than Im just gonna buy a whipple and be done with it. Its gonna be a street car mostly with alot of sat sun night cruising through town, so Im alittle worried about the heat.

I don't think there's any question that the 2.2L will make upper 500s to 600hp. You'll probably need 17-19lbs to reach your goal but I would stick closer to 17 on a fat tune and you'll be plenty safe.

Awesome. I know alot has to do with the tune, but being a street car Im gonna want a safe tune, well I guess Im gonna go with the 2.2 then. Hopefully this thing will be screaming soon! Thanks guys.

a 17lb safe tune with timing say around 18* you should hopefully still reach 575ish std .. going agressive and reaching 600 wont feel much different .. better safe than sorry .. but 2.2 will get you to and over 600 if you wanted it to to answer the ?

What size pulley will net me around 18#s? Im guessing a 3.00 but I may be wrong. The headers are stock also and I dont really plan on long tubes anytime soon, as Ive heard theyre a real PITA and I know that comes into play when trying to guestamate blower psi.

On my 2.2 with a 3.75" and 4lb lower I see 15 psi. (My street tune)

3.5" and 4lb lower I should see ~ 17psi (My new street tune, changing it next week)

3.0" and 4lb, I see ~ 21psi. (My race tune)

With my race tune, I made the numbers in my sig with 109 octane and 19* of timing.

Can you list some belt sizes for your combo's?

Thanks:beer:

You don't get much slip with these badass Reichard Racing Pullies...Love them, they make the belt grip very well.
