Kooks releases the first video of a Shelby GT350 with long-tube headers

From the moment we heard the Shelby GT350’s Flat-Plane-Crank, 5.2-liter engine at full song on Grattan Raceway last year, we knew it was the best-sounding stock Mustang yet. However, we couldn’t help but wonder what it would sound like with a set of long-tube headers. Now, thanks to Kooks Headers and Exhaust, that wait is over.

That is outrageously loud! Definitely sounds like it's breathing better, but jeez!

Outrageously loud is just loud enough to some people. :D

The tone is more Ferrari-like now, so I bet the exhaust flow has been optimized quite a bit over stock. I hope the power gains reflect that. I can't wait to see the results!

You know what I want to see? I want to see an aftermarket company offer a twin intake manifold and throttle bodies! Now that will give it that Ferrari-like sound!

It actually sounds smoother if you really listen. The exhaust is going to sound much different just free revving than when it is under load, if we had a proper video i bet this thing would sound insane.

Sounds like it may even be revving quicker when you compare it to the before video they posted.

Owner said on the other board that dyno results coming soon. If its on par with what regular 5.0 coyotes gain im pretty sold. Hoping the FPC engine might see a little more benefit.

Forgive my ignorance, but what are "green cats"? Everything is emissions legal?
They are EPA certified high flow cats, unfortunately would still be illegal here in commiefornia

I like the cleaner sound, its pure engine sound now, wish I could hear it in person

Well. It's definitely LOUD!!! I can't imagine it catless.

It did sound better under load though.

That is true, things might also be a bit more lax up north. Either way, they help kill the smell which some LEOs can pickup on a catless car
