Picked her up yesterday...so far the car has exceeded my expectations! So much diff't than the 12 GT. The car feels so much more focused, the motor is even smoother than the regular 5.0 and it rev's to high hell and back!

So many more people looking at me now as well...feels like i'm in a real exotic!

Here are a few pics...none of which do the car justice. The blue is so much better looking in the sun and in person...

BTW, I have seen some of you tell me to change out the shifter but so far I think it's great...gonna pull the baffles off this afternoon.

Congrats. Just like mine! #2914.
I have no probs with the shifter although have not been to the Drag Strip yet which some have had an issue with.

There is a number on the strut tower brace under the hood.
That number is the sequence your car was built in.
Mine was the 2914th Boss 302 made.
Yours was the 239th built so it was an early one. Must have been around for a while.
I think there were roughly 3250 in total.

Congrats man! I took mine on the road course for first time today and had the shifter issue going into 4th gear. I found that if I shifted at about 6800 it wouldn't happen, and since I have 6 years of payments, I have no problem short shifting into 4th!

I also have my baffles out, and I thought it too loud at first, but now I love it!

Build date is on a sticker on the door rear B Pillar face.
Only gives the month and year & not the day of the month.

You and I have pretty different points of view. 6 years of payments, meh; only 3 years of warranty = beat on it now and make Ford fix their mistakes. I paid over $40k for a car with an advertised high revving motor and a TracKey "for track use only" option, so the damn thing better work on a track. If this car can rev higher than it can shift, what's the point?

Hybred, I see your point. I honestly don't think this "issue" is one Ford will address. Perhaps they will, but I ain't holding my breath. I will give them feedback on what I am experiencing with my car, but going to the dealer and expecting a fix would be comical at best. Can't you just hear that service writer? Besides, it isn't like they could test drive it and duplicate the issue. So if I can drive "around" the issue for now, I will. It would concern me more if my focus was on drag racing where that might cause me to lose precious tenths, but for non-competitive track days on a road course I don't feel it is that big of a deal.

Flat out irritates me.

You would never see an under-engineered part like this on a high end car like a Porsche. If the motor is meant to rev to 7500, then by all means equip the thing with a clutch capable of taking advantage of that!

Mine will be getting a twin disc as probably the only mod just because I can't deal with this kind of non-sense. Just stinks having to pay for what Ford should have already taken care of.
