My current job in 29 Palms. I am currently a TACP evaluator/ instructor at the Tactical Training Exercise Control Group (TTECG). We put on multiple large scale Integrated Training Exercise's (ITX) each year for deploying Marine Corps units prior to their deployments. Focus is on integrating fire support (Artillery mortars other Indirect Fire assets and Aviation) with maneuvering units. Some of the older Marines knew it as CAX (Combined Arms Exercise) Mojave Viper or EMV (Enhanced Mojave Viper). My role in this is to instruct and evaluate the Battalion's Forward Air Controllers (FAC) and Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTAC). Basically the guys on the ground coordinating and controlling the air strikes. This is just a compilation of some of the videos I have taken over the last year. Hours are very long on this job, but I do get to see all of the Marine Corps toys in action multiple times per year out here in the desert and try and make sure the younger Marines know all of the things I wished I would have known prior to going into Iraq/Afghanistan many years ago. We get some other joint assets to show up and play as well.
