So I've been meaning to Meet up with Mooch and have pictures taken of my Cobra since I've finally gotten it the way I want to look (for now lol). This summer I added new wheels, new seats, and Ford Racing Blue Valve Covers, as well as had a paint correction done on the car. After this I knew it was time ;-)
I thought about it, and my Dad's birthday just recently passed and he never really had any good pictures taken of his car, so I figured lets kill two birds with one stone.
A little history on my Dad's car. It's a 1961 Cadillac 62 Series Convertible. He has owned the car since 1986, and since then it has been repainted twice. First in 1989 and then again in 2012. In 2013 my Dad was golfing and there was a hail storm while he was on the course and the paint got severely damaged. Long story short since the car was originally pained with lacquer, it needed to be fully repainted, and the insurance company gave him $16,000 to do so. The car was all redone by a local shop that specializes in restoring classic cars and it came out unbelievable.
Besides being painted twice, the motor and transmission being rebuilt and the top being replaced, the car is all original and also has 44,000 original miles. The car even has all the original chrome. This car has absolutely NO rust and the undercarriage is pristine His next step is to have the interior reupholstered and then she should be good.
Big thanks to Mooch again for the pics!
Sorry for the long read, onto the pics
