Over 1 year ago when I was a SAAC member (I own a 2007 Shelby GT500) I volunteered to be the register for the Cobra R cars.
No reply so I did not renew my membership.
They are not willing to change with the times.
I also have a 1965 FFR Cobra that I built in 1999.
My 00R is #15 and is in Canada, 4000 miles.

the cobra r's are not shelby's, so why should they be in the registry or why should saac be the ones to keep their history (not asking to start a fight, just wondering)? they are svt products and i would think fit better with an svt registry or group.

i do in fact have all the parts and pieces protectively and lovingly
dw: ) stored.:-DIf anyone has information on 2000 "R" models PM me and I will put a list together and then we can maybe get the vin#'s from SVT and chase the hard ones through carfax and registrations. This will take a little work but I feel it would be valuable information for all years of "R" models. As the car numbers come in I will create a list and post it. If you may have owned a "R' and sold it, get me the vin# and I will attempt to track it that way.

my friend has #188 here in south la. he drives it sometimes. there was also a very low milage one in lake charles a few years ago that belonged to a guy who i was told passed away. i'll see if i can find any info about it
