thought Id start a little build thread to update the viewers on the status of the car, and what's happening.

It started as a a 2013 GT, stock motor, paxton 2200. affter beating on it for a while and still having no torque, i picked up a torque booster kit from a friend. with the addition of the wastegate @ 10lbs, the car was completely different, and was a good bit of fun. it was no longer hooking a 40 roll in 2nd on the 315/35/20 NT05R's so a set of bigs and littles helped the hook. unfortunately we never dyno'd the car except on the stock pulley no wastegate, so I can't say numbers. made 592 on the biggest pulley tho, so estimated 680 ish on the 3.33 pulley, 10lbs, and E85.

I added a full Fore fuel system with 2 walbro 465's. I've always had ID1000's, so those weren't new. first pump runs constantly, second pump kicks in at 2LBS i believe.

after enjoying the car for a while on the paxton with wastegate set up, i decided to pull the trigger on a built motor. the motor build included manley rods and pistons, clevite bearings, ARP hardware, etc. unfortunately, no sleeves so i'll be limited.

once I started thinking about it more and more, i realized that i was going to run into belt issues with the paxton spinning so high to make the numbers I wanted. I kicked the idea around of spraying the car too, but it was too much of a pain.

so I added up the difference of what I'd spend on long tubes and the 8 rib conversion, and it just made more sense to swap to twins.

turbos of choice are precision 6266's. Tial 44mm gates.

I picked up a twins kit, and an AMS1000 for boost management.

I think I'll run out of Injector before I run out of pump, somewhere between 850-950rwhp

we are building the MT82 (shift forks, rem treating and cryo treating gears, etc)

here in the next few months i'll be shopping for a TR6060 or T56 to get the longer gearing.

Intercooler is the standard on3 IC.

Still up in the air on tuning. Been talking to TSS and Murillo so far. I had a custom charge pipe build for the maf housing to fix that issue. Looking at doing some other one off parts as well.

Very nice. Who did the charge pipe for you and where did you get the turbos?

I'm going turbo or paxton in the next 2 weeks and truthfully still can't decide on which one to go with.

Thanks

LPF in Houston did the larger MAF pipe, and I got the turbos locally.

After having the Paxton, I can say that if you're wanting to make more than 700, go turbo initially. Turbo will obviously be quite a bit more expensive. Boost management, turbo blankets, heat wrap, or ceramic coating in my case, etc all add up. But the efficiency and power goals are all there too. Then supporting fuel system and built motor need to be added in
