Truly sorry for your loss.

My wife and I are quickly realizing why Great Danes are so loved. They have so much personality it is amazing.

Booky, great looking pup!

864, sorry to hear about your loss too. I dont have a Dane, but my Boxer is very special to me. I am sure all of us "dog people" can understand.

very true, sadness and grief isnt breed specific after the passing of a loved friend.

Booky sorry for posting pics on your thread, last one i promise hahaha

always liked this pic of my girl, looks as though she just connected with a hard left hook to the face of my brothers boxer

Not a problem, post as many as you like. I love pictures of large dogs.

My wife and I have been on the wrong end of Gunners right hook a few times. It feels like you got hit in the face with a chunk of fire wood. That along with their bull whip tail can really wake you up in the morning.:uh oh:

Update: Gunner turned 7 months old last week and weighed in at 90 lbs. He is getting big enough that people do not think he is a Weimaraner any more.:-D

I hear you on the weimeriner comment. We got that quite a bit with our female. She's right around 100 lbs and a bit taller than the gf's parents 4.5 year old female dane

Update: Gunner is now 10 months old and his growth seams to be slowing a bit:

He was neutered at 9 months old and we also had the Gastropexy surgery for bloat prevention. He was in sad shape for the first couple of days after the surgery, but regained his composer after about 4-5 days.

Here he is in the cone of shame:

This is what happens when you think that your Dane no longer needs to be kept in the Colossal Crate when you go to work:

I guess it will be a few more months before we try that again.

And I thought only Labs were that destructive - I guess all puppies are the same!

He sure is a good looking dog though!

Before I started crate training mine we came home one day to find our dog had completely stripped the bedding off our bed, pillows and all, and drug it all into the living room to make his own bed. I was mad but laughing at the same time. Wish I had a camera set up to see him doing it.

OP, pup is looking good!
