He is holding at about 120 lbs.

We regulate how much food he is getting so he does not put on too much weight.

I think he would eat 24/7 if we allowed it to happen, especially the cat's food, that is his favorite.:rollseyes
Be glad it's not.the cats poop...

Oh, we did catch Gunner with his head in the cat box one day and fixed that very quickly.

The cat box now sits with the opening facing a corner with just enough room for the cat to get in and out.

No more Kitty Turd treats for Gunner.:nonono:

Gunner found out the hard way today that he should not mess with Bees.

His left eye swelled up so bad it looked like he got hit by Mike Tyson:

Gunner found out what happens when you hit a patch of ice while at a full run down a stone road.
Two weeks with the "Cone of Shame" until his stitches come out.:nonono:

Poor fella! My boy had to wear a cone for awhile after surgery and he hated it. It was a big one like that and he banged it on everything. I changed his name from Kane to Cone for awhile lol.

Gunner will be 3 years old this week.

We are thankful everyday for how much joy this big guy has given us.

Here is Mr. Gunner modeling his Birthday present:
a new Cesar Millan backpack filled with necessities for trotting beside the bike on a windy day (Water and Scooby Snacks).

A Great Dane jumping in bed will definetely wake you up. lol

Does Milo enjoy smelling your breath in the morning?

For some strange reason, Gunner enjoys smelling our morning breath.:nonono:

It's been a number of years since my 200lbs Mastiff/Great Pyrenees passed - I conveniently forget the ton of hair all over the house, stepping in cold gooey slobber, finding dried slobber on the ceiling, knocked over end tables, giant turd cleanups in the backyard and the crazy amounts of dog food he'd go through.

I now only remember the good times we had - greeting me with a thumping tail I could hear before I opened the door, man-belching in the face of a newly greeted hot girl and how gentle he tried to be around our babies.

I'm almost ready for a large breed again...most likely a Dane.

I love this thread - Happy Birthday Gunner!

Gunner also found himself a playmate that lives nearby.

Her name is Lexi and she is a 15 month old Blue Great Dane:

Gunner is really starting to show his age.

He does a lot of reading now:
