When MT's are mentioned on thread, are they MT street drag radials or MT street drag tires? I am not sure everyone is talking about the same tire. Are the MT street radials good for the street and track or should one use the MT street drag tires for the track?

M/T Drag - TRACK only non-DOT approved
M/T ET Streets - DOT approved Slick again MOSTLY track only, not for DD use.
M/T ET Street RADIAL - GREAT for track and daily non track use.

Thanks. I am planning on purchasing some 15x8 rims and I am thinking of mounting some MT drag radials 255x60x15's for the track. How do you think they will hold up to 650-720 wrhp?

Seriously? Ever driven these in the rain? I have not but would think thy would be awful in the rain.

Yeah you're right. By DD I mean good weather DD.

My car has only been caught in the rain twice. :D

After my pulley I will be in the market for some 315's. I want some that I will be able to use first gear with. I do not have to drive my car and usually only do if it is nice and sunny out but I don't want to have to worry about loosing control IF I get caught out in the rain. Should I stay away from MT's? I am leaning towards the MT because of the excellent dry traction but if the wet traction is just absolutely horribly I might steer clear and give the new Toyos a shot. Anyone tried them?

Nothing will hold well in 1st gear on the street except maybe the MT's/M&H's/ or Hoosiers.

At 25lbs. my BFG's can't hold for shit in 1st, but in 2nd they hook real nice.

Do the hoosiers come without the white letters? Out of those three would the mt still hook the best?

I believe M&H has the best rep. But again NONE will be good in the rain. :nonono:
