A lot of people say it's the TR7ix. I couldn't tell you why though...

Because a colder plug gives better protection against detonation in boosted applications. Most will say you should run as cold as you can without causing low-speed fuel fouling.

So the NGK TR6's aren't as sufficient I'm assuming, right?

So is it a balancing act to get a hot enough plug but not to hot that it doesn't cause detonation? Parts store computer says I should go wit TR55ix but if I increase boost then should I step to a colder plug a TR6ix?

That is entirely dependant on your combination. The TR6 and TR6ix are sufficient for a lot of combinations.

If you're going to the trouble of changing plugs, I would run the 6 with even a stock combination. Haven't seen any adverse effects from doing so.

I was going to change my plugs with a 2.76 upper pulley only install. Went to Autozone computer said to run TR55ix...My cobra came with the 22's so are the TR6ix the correct plug for my set up? The added boost you want to step to a cooler plug?
