No vin yet?????

I orderd a 2012 vert on June 12th....still no vin# etc. so I'm assuming I'm still weeks (many) away from seeing it?????:bored:
Does this sound correct and why so long to get vin?

I assume you mean 2013, as the 2012s aren't even in production anymore.

as 92hatchlx stated, call your dealer. If you haven't gotten a VIN by the middle of the 3rd week, something's wrong. You're dealer may have allocation issues too.

If all else, go join allfordmustangs.com and there is a thread on there where you can speak with Deysha, a Ford Customer Service rep, who will give you any and all details about your car's progress you want. Just need to know the dealer ID and your order #.

I ordered around the same time as you did, so your car should be pretty damn close to coming it (see dates below).

Well you just have to wait like the rest of us. Just don't go out buying $8k+ of parts before you even know when you will have your car.

Also, you do know you will need a GT500 rear bumper, right? Unless that's your "lower valance" you have listed.

A hacked up stock one will look like crap because they are painted now...

I wish it was $8k and why not order the parts....it's going to their shop within days of me getting it. I don't need the rear bumper, just the rear valance per Evolution and I'm sure they know what they r talking about.:rollseyes

Wasn't aware the only difference was the valance itself...I thought the whole bumper was of a different molding. Learn something new then. I'll have to look into that.

I ordered mine on May 2 and just received my vin two weeks ago so a total of 8 weeks between. Called Ford when I received it and was told eta was July 29th, called again yesterday and it was in production but there was no eta in the system. The only parts I have sitting around are tires and wheels.
