I get compliments all the time. Ive ever only seen a few 03-04 cobra's around, but it definetly turns peoples heads, and gets noticed. Especially when i get on it.

I have had people either speed up to get next to me, or pace me gesturing, waving to get my attention for a thumbs up. Most the time they want to holler something or ask about the car. It's funny but I get this "eyes are on me, I am being starred at" sixth sense at stale stoplights. They can tell its not your run of the mill Mustang, what with the fat ass DR's and it being lowered and the COBRA across the bumper.

I seem to get a couple different types of people wich i dont blame... iv ran into a few that think its just a roush .... or some people seem to think its a wanna be roush with some cobra parts (some have tried to clown)... or wanna be cobra with some roush parts.. then i do actually get a good chunk of people that know what it is and they get pretty stoked .. so thats pretty cool .

haha like said above its funny when your hood is open and people are amazed and they go DAMN look how big those heads are .. is that a big block hah .

Well I don't own a Cobra yet but I have a good little story.

I was on Bake Parkway off of the 5 freeway in Irvine, and I was driving a Competition Orange Cobra. I was at a light making a u-turn, and when I made the turn I took off and went through 3 gears, and at the next light I stopped and there were about 10 people on the sidewalk with their jaws dropped all pointing at the car. One guy yelled "Holy crap, you can hear that thing a mile away!!!"

I don't get as many complements as I used to, but I really do not drive the car as much. I get alot of people taking camera phone pictures while I am driving. I also have had many people ask me how much did my paint job cost. They just can't seem to believe that its factory. The one encounter that stands out the most was this past summer.
I was driving on the freeway on a warm saturday evening. I pulled up next to a mini van with a man on the pass. side with his wife driving. His window was down and he gave me a thumbs up. I nodded my head and returned the gesture. I looked over in his direction again, and he was making a rolling gesture with his arms. I laughed and figured "why not". It was all clear in front of me, so I dropped it form 6th to 3rd and rolled out from 60. I took it up to about 115 and slowed down back to 60. About a minute or so later, the mini van caught up, and they were honking their horn and the guy yelled badass cobra! As they passed me I noticed a couple kids in the back jumping around and waving. I thought that was kind of cool.

I don't get to many ohhhhs and ahhhhhs around here. A few exotics around the beach area most think it's just a Mustang. I saw only a few others once in awhile between here and Orlando. Many are into the yuppie type cars, BMW and alike. Lots of Vettes. There are so many of them, I don't believe most people pay attention to them unless it's a Z06. The SVT Cobra is a unique car. I will never get rid of the horse on the front grill. After all it is still a Mustang. When I picked up the car, in some of the states I stopped in many people really made a fuss over it. Especially around the Nashville area.
I love to watch thier eyes when they hear the blower whine.

I was sitting at a busy intersection earlier in the city. Cop is standing on the corner, starring at my car. Signals for me to lower my window. Walks over, asks what I have done. He is in awe of the car. Asks how much power I have, I tell him, he says "That's a good thing".

Haha, coolest cop I've ever met.

I have people constantly starring at my rims. It's weird, actually. That's all alot of people look at at.

I know what you mean, except on the West coast people are way into Porsches. I bet I see four 911s for every Corvette I see. 911s may handle great and everything but they've got be the most ass sounding sports car there is... noisy and not in a good way.

Romans8:28,

Threads like this make me realize how much I still love my COBRA. These cars are still very badass...

I know what you mean...... many of us have owned the car long enough to become a little complacent and maybe take it for granted. Then someone or something comes along and reminds us how special they really are.

I get surrounded by ricers all the time when its a Fri or Sat night. They look like Indians getting ready to take down a buffalo. It can also look at times like I'm getting a police escort.

The best memory I have is 2 years ago on the fourth of July. The SVT club had 4 cars in the parade in "front" of the corvette club. I had about 5 coats of wax on it and the wheels polished up. Lots of pointing and Thumbs ups!. My wife and kids had a blast

That happened to me alot when i first bought my cobra a few months ago. Especially at work and with people that know me and my job(pay wise). They thought it was cheaper than a new gt,lol. I had one guy call me a tight wad for not buying a brand new gt, i called him a moron.
