Defensive much?!?!
I take it you haven't ever driven a 350.
I run a Ford / Mopar performance shop.
I’ve driven probably 50+ hellcats and 25+ GT350s

Is it possible for a one-trick pony to have more than one trick?
Just wondering because the Demon out brakes the Viper by 4 feet from 60-0 mph.
Almost forgot. It also pulls more g’s on the skid pad than a Hellcat.

One trick. Lol
I hope you know that that isn’t true, the ACR does it in 89 I believe not 107

According to them, the Demon stops in 97 feet. The Viper? 99 feet.
Winner: Demon
Actually I was wrong, it’s 87 feet.
This has been covered in many different threads.

Both the ACR and the demon have very sticky rubber and the demon’s are probably stickier, but you’d have to put glue down to get something almost 1000 pounds heavier with smaller brakes to out brake the ACR.
What probably happened was those articles used normal viper numbers instead of ACR numbers. You can’t ignore physics.

The Demon has a ton of tire on the ground which makes braking easier. I guarantee those numbers were done with the regular tires up front, not the skinnies. Put huge tires on anything and it'll stop.
So why would you prefer a Hellcat over a GT350?
Ok I stand corrected. The car is impressive. It it bad that I want more then just a drag car? Has nothing to do with brand loyalty. The market has moved on and people expect more in a car.

On the other hand, there are many others looking for “just a drag car” and thats why they are all sold out. I don’t see why a Demon with Z rated tires all around won’t handle. Just because it’s a great drag car doesn’t mean that’s all it can do. It has the same adjustable suspension as the other SRTs. Same Brembo brakes, albeit a little smaller up front to clear the 18” wheels. Plus it has more power and is lighter. There are many people out there road racing Hellcats.
FWIW, the same can be said about the GT350. Most people paid MSRP + ADM. Sure, it can handle, but will run low 12s. Meh, so does my 4400lb. sedan. The new ZL1 will crush it in every category. “One trick pony” if you will, pun intended.
Some people don’t give a rats behind about handling. We want power!
When’s the last time you saw a Dodge on the road course, save viper?
Dodge has always been heavy, high horsepower. They’re not nimble track rats, and never will be. Geez you guys.
I feel like a manufacturer could give us 2000whp, and y’all would still find something to bitch about. Lololol
‘Eh but it’s not FORD....’
I’d rather have a Hellcat / Demon than a GT350, hands down.

Still though, the car pulls 1G on the skid pad and brakes from 60-0 in 97 feet. That’s pretty impressive for a “drag race only” car, no?
Hellcat has power on tap, the instantaneous torque that we all love. They are extremely comfortable as well.
The GT350 : it simply cannot be appreciated on the street. Who revs to 6000+ RPMS in their daily driver, much less 8000RPMS. And it is ball-less down low, the cars don’t even make 500wtq

It is a bad ass car. You can tell the brand loyalty on this board where a 12 second turn only mustang is superior to the 9 second POS 1/4 monster.
and for those calling it a one trick pony, define one trick pony? To me the 350 is a one trick pony. It's not fast by any stretch in the 1/4, would make a terrible DD(cramped back seat, manual transmission for traffic, and loud). The Demon would be bad on a road course, great on a strip, and would make a great DD with it's heated/cooled seats and auto trans. So in my book it's 2 -1 in favor of the demon.
And at the house I have an HC, 16 GT, 16 F250, 13 CTSV, and 06 GTO. So I'm no brand loyalist, just a car fan.
Stated from a guy that has CTSV > C63 in his profile area. LOL There is no comparing the Aufrecht brand quality to that of a plastic Cadillac. LOL
I could take a picture of my Micheal Jackson woodgrain in my 13 E class, if that'll prove quality?
